Reply to "Election Day 2008 - Thoughts and Reports"

I agree Princess. After living in a " gay" town for the past 8 years where gays walk openly hand and hand and can marry legally, I still witness blatant acts of racism on a daily basis. Gays as a whole have not addressed nor overcome their own narrow mindedness regarding race or opposite sex hatred. For the most part it seems that the majority of people in this day and age have grown very much in such matters but there are still too many out there that need to address their inner racism. Perhaps President Obama will encourage this last step towards awareness.

Meanwhile it disturbs me greatly that a large portion of the African American community could even consider hating gay people and voting away their rights after all that they themselves have faced in this country. It boggles the mind.
