No matter what happens, at least we can say goodbye to the Bush adminstration.

Let's review!

Sept 11th– the so-called "party of national security" was evidently asleep at the switch during the single greatest assault against our country in history. Granted one can make the case that the attacks were the result of decades of American interference in the Middle East and indict all administrations going back to the late 1960s. But the fact remains that the attack happened on Republican watch. AND they have failed to catch the perpetrator after eight years! Dry your crocodile tears, Condi. It was your fucking job to know.

The Iraq War– moral bankruptcy at its most tragic. If Bible thumpers and Scripture-quoting queens really want to pray about something, let them start by praying for the near-term end of this disgraceful war under false pretenses that has already outlasted WWII and wasted lives, limbs and lots and lots of money while shredding both the Bill of Rights and our nation's reputation. And all that just to line the pockets of Halliburton and Bechtel. (Spare me the Rove talking points about the surge – it was a desperate, last-ditch reaction to five years of failure and enacted at a time when nearly 2/3 of Iraq's population had fled the country.)

Hurricane Katrina-- A cautionary tale of what happens when conservative assholes bleed the system dry and install their golf buddies to run, of all things, the nation's disaster recovery function. The result? Disaster.

The Collapse of Banking and Housing Markets-- The mantras that conservatives live and die for - deregulation and "greed is good" – have left the entire world to pay the price. Redistribution of wealth? I'll say. A golden parachute for the CEO next door.

Bah!
