I wasn't born in NYC so I do easily find its exaggerations and distortions laughable but just being my 'normal' ol self most anywhere else would get me viewed as being a kind of satanic freak. Plus, where else am I gonna find fresh kola nuts a few days off the vine from Ile Ife? Or an Alufa who wants to teach me some sacred insights from the Dinlogun? Everyone should be fortunate enough to find a place to live that accommodates thier outlook on life. But what has happened to American Liberty in the past ten years has reduced tollerance and acceptance to a low not seen since before Civil Rights and McCarthy. Now there are so many Americans who want to push thier views on everyone else and are proud of their backwardness.
