This is my new favorite thing to do. Watch the Pizza Cam. I love to spy on people who are breaking their diets. B O B B Y ! ! ! ! It's also good about 4 AM to see who is sneaking off with who. Check it out. Spiritus Pizza Cam Bobby, Why don't we pick a time and you go in front and wave. God I must be bored!

Daddy! That webcam looks like its not really working..And I have a lot better things to do here at 4:am than stand in front of the cam and wave. Weather has been delicious. Brandon Olson and Scotty The blue Bunny are here doing shows and everything is yummy. When are you and Mommy coming?? Owner of Spiritus tells me that Lysette is married to his brother and with children and living in Wellfleet... Spawn of the dammed I am sure.

There was a followup story on NY1 tonight saying that residents and businesses in the affected area - which was huge - West Side from Battery Park to 14th Street West of Broadway - are being asked to conserve power with the new heat wave coming this week. It seems that power for that sector that was controlled by the blown-up transformer has to be coming from somewhere else for a few weeks while it is rebuilt. And they don't sound that confident about the somewhere else. If you didn't lose...

When I first arrived in the Blade Runner 'esuqe city that New York was in 1990, I remember seeing this tall "Woman" with a bleach blonde flatop, horned rimmed sunglassed, in the dark of night, and glitter red lipstick, while dressed in a retro new wave look about 10 years before anyone thought it was cool to bring that back. She waltzed up to me and said, "Hi, I'm Page...who are you ?" My eyes opened a little wider and what was possible in this life became a little broader and I saw the...

I just walked by Pat Field's 8th Street store and was almost in tears. It's all empty, dark & closed up with the windows soaped. It's so sad. There is just a little sign on the door that says "SALE". So many memories in that store. Decades of memories! Punk, New Wave, Paradise Garage, Ball House, Club Kid, Rave. And who hasn't worked there at least once? I knew it was coming but to actually see her closed is a shock. I know it's not a tragedy or anything, Pat is ruling the earth now with...

one would enter through the long skinny bar all lined up with the beautiful girls and their long legs checking out the new action coming in the door. So exciting! Never were the ladies at a t-bar so alluring. Then to the disco back room and then turn the corner to the main trapeze disco. it was the site of the original, and new wave remake of the Peppermint Lounge. There was always something ready willing and able to happen.

The new clubs reported to be gearing up in Chelsea are more a reaction of opportunism. Although I am sure some backers and producers are really inspired and want to bring the city back to life partywise. The club going in to the old Twilo space, which is supposedly going to be called Spirit, would be the most different concept being put to the test, is actually a franchise from its Irish flagship, and if you ask me its ammenities ( a raw food restaurant, a resident dance company ) are a kind...

I DJed at Pyramid too, in 1981. I have also always hated new wave music. I was playing funk, early hip hop, soca, 60's go go music and stuff like that. I was hired after I came with John Sex to DJ and set the mood for his show. Bobby Bradley fired me, supposedly for not playing new wave. But I think the real reason was that I had just quit Pulsallama, so there was no way the band was going to play the Pyramid. As Francesca (the infamous sex-change beauty from Studio 54) told me... "Disco is out, New Wave is in. We only listen to New Wave now". Of course this was in like 1987 when, as Miss Understood pointed out, the New Wave scene was over. What she was reacting to was the revolution caused single-handedly by The Pyramid Queens. "Uptown" was out and "Downtown" was definitely in. It really was a revolution.
