AN ACTORS FUND BENEFIT FOR HOWL HELP
Halloween elite team THE JACKIE FACTORY (Jackie 60, Night of 1000 Stevies) reunite with EDITRIX ABBY (Click + Drag, Burning Man) for the second annual GHOSTLIGHT, a gala Halloween ball benefitting the HOWL EMERGENCY LIFE PROJECT of THE ACTORS FUND. THE BOWERY ELECTRIC will become an OLDE BOWERY haunt for the evening, with a brilliant show roster of local legends and emerging talent. In three sets, the haunted spectacle stars East Village icon JOEY ARIAS, Scream Queens the DUELLING BANKHEADS (CLARK RENDER and DAVID ILKU), VANGELINE THEATER in their butoh KLAUS NOMI homage, high priestess AMBER MARTIN (as MEAT HOOK MARY), THE RACHEL KLEIN THEATER in THE TRAGEDY OF MARIA MACABRE Ballet, vampire songbird LADY ZOMBIE, BLACKLIPS alumni POISON EVE and glamourpuss KAT MON DIEU.
The evening's shows and decor installations will be heavily influenced by the BOWERY nightlife traditions of the past 150 years, from VAUDEVILLE to NEW WAVE and beyond. This year's celebrated DJS are JOHNNY DYNELL (Jackie 60, Vandam) from 10 PM, XRIS SMACK! (SMACK!, The NY Vampire Ball) from 11:30, and MATTY GLITTERATI (Trash!) from 1:30. GHOSTLIGHT producers CHI CHI VALENTI and EDITRIX ABBY are the Mistresses of Ceremonies, with Neue Bowery star HEATHER LITTEER hostessing. With three onstage sets and dancing from 10 PM to 3:30, guests are free to come and go (with their wristband) anytime through the night till 3 AM. Performer and DJ schedule will be published by mid-October.
SUGGESTED DRESS: Haunted Bowery Glamour (all eras) or Creative Costuming.

HOWL HELP was created to provide emergency financial assistance and social service support to artists who have participated in the annual HOWL FESTIVAL or who make their careers in New York City's East Village and Lower East Side arts community. Administered by THE ACTORS FUND, HOWL HELP serves the needs of many artists whose work (of any generation) challenges the traditional boundaries of dance, theatre, music, multimedia and the spoken word.
THE JACKIE FACTORY is the NYC based nightclub arts collective founded by husband and wife team CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL in 1990. Most famous for the 450 themed editions of its decade-long party JACKIE 60, venue MOTHER, and annual Stevie Nicks extravaganza NIGHT OF A THOUSAND STEVIES, THE FACTORY also creates large-scale spectacles in New York and cities nationwide and worldwide, including LOW LIFE @ HOWL! Fresh from her work at BURNING MAN, EDITRIX ABBY jumps back into NY Nightlife each October with GHOSTLIGHT.
