No author has captured the Lost East Village of the early 80's better than TOM SPANBAUER's "IN THE CITY OF SHY HUNTERS", which helps explain his devoted cult following among NYC nightlife folks. In the Portland, Oregon based writer's new novel NOW IS THE HOUR (Houghton Mifflin), the main character sets off from Idaho for another Gay Mecca - sixties' SAN FRANCISCO - with a flower in his hair. In celebration of the book, and to welcome this reclusive icon to Gotham, THE JACKIE FACTORY and a host of "Participating Tribes" announce a one-night LOVE-IN on Thursday, June 8 at PIER 63.

But first let me explain.
There are two types of pictures.

The pictures that I took BEFORE the brown acid kicked in.

Like this of Texxx (aka Goblin), Ned (Big Art Group), Michael Warner (author of "The Trouble with Normal") and Glamnerd (Artfag Extraordinaire aka Rob Roth).

And lots of love as Michael Cunningham congratulates John Cameron Mitchell on his ten minute standing ovation at The Cannes Film Festival. John's new movie "Short Bus" features lots of Motherboards people including our own pretty pony Pinto.
