Reply to "Dina Martina"

I've seen her show a couple of times.
(including a memorable one with Bobby in P.P.Town)

The first time I saw her I was just sort of stunned and couldn't really appreciate it.

Dina Martina is so wacky that, well, it takes some gettin' used to. She has her own thing going that's for sure.

I like her.
She's VERY unique in a world of cookie cutter drag queens. In fact, I like her more and more every time I see her show. I see why she is getting a cult following.
(especially with lesbians for some reason)

I do think, however, that she is just now starting to find herself.
(I know it says she started in 1989 but it seems like that to me)

She has obviously been influenced by people like Varla Jean Merman and Kiki & Herb (not bad influences by the way).
I think that she is just going to get better and better with time.
(and there's nothing like performing every night to get your act down!)

So go see her now! Get in at the beginning.
(The New York Beginning)

I'll always treasure those Kiki & Herb shows @ "Cowgirl" and Varla Jean's early New York shows a Jackie 60.
