BBC radio 4 or World Service for REAL decent NEWS and discussion. BBC 6 for a great cross section of music and chat (where else do you find on a national main stream station dub reggae played next to Joni Mitchell next to Bjork).
It's also fab for me cos having worked for the BBC for so long i know most of the presenters which is alway cute as i tend to e-mail them as they are on air, they get a great kick out of the fact that radio is SO global these days... so I can also download re-runs of ANDY KERSHAWS world music show on BBC Radio 3 or me ole pal Brinsley Forde's Reggae show Lively Up Yourself on BBC 6.. (Both worth checkin out!).
I wonder - i know about world band radios (which are crap reception in Manhattan) but what about an actual radio that picks up all of these internet stations do they sell such a thing?
Chi Chi - Daddy needs to have his own radio staion with your very own Verbal Abuse in an afternoon tea slot!
