Reply to "New Old New Wave? 1982-->2002"

A few weeks ago I attended a budding "all things electro endeavor" hosted by a friend in Manhattan, who admitted that night: he could use some help with building a "new" crowd for such a party. And, I thought, as I listened and looked about, of Larry Tee, who has done so well with his own brand of ElectroClash (at Luxx, and, beyond ...).

So, I wrote Larry an email of introduction regarding my friend the promoter, [outlining what he was attempting to put together, peppered with a few good words re: his character, etc.] ... and, wouldn't you know it: although yearS have passed since Larry and I have shared more than a few, rushed greetings on subway platforms, he wrote back instantly ... "Sure, Tonya. Give him my email if he needs some suggestions ..."

Such a big smile crept on my face ... Larry's immediate "enthusiasm apparent" for nightlife is still as incredibly refreshing as the first night I met him, now, twelve years ago. The whole exchange - simply positive - a reinforcement for me – I do believe my dearest Z. and S. - there may indeed be more grand individuals progressing "into this new retro" than it seems. And the more I hear, the more I wish to go out dancing again ...

Oh, Larry Tee did mention [now that the Luxx party is on hiatus] he is touring and working with his girl group W.I.T. [as I'm sure you're quite on top of] and included a list of PR mention-ables that I am including with my post because I am wishing him all the luck in the world.

Aside: Thanks for Alice. Do keep them coming!!!! Heard a new track I'm rather bemused with but not quite as astonishing: Let's Push Thing's Forward, by The Streets, Original Pirate ... (2002)
