Even if this measure passes, these 'lawmakers' are simply delusional if they think they are going to shut off the flow of porn, or clean up mainstream movies and teevee. The world is so flooded with this material. Of course they can make an extremely hostile environment and place intense scrutiny on the industry workers. But real fact is that porn IS the community value, that is why so many billions of dollars in business are generated by it. The larger question is really the ability of lawmakers to control culture in general.35 years ago in a very large proportion of municipalities possession and use of marijuana was decriminalized with penalities amounting to a $5 traffic ticket. Now look at the federal initiative against the medicinal pot industry. It is a similar condition within governement regarding porm. Like pot, porn has been a real part of US culture for so long that to not recognize it amounts to a scotoma, in psychological terms, a 'blind spot' in perception.
