Not really puritan but more Big Brother... Don't know how much u have noticed a slow slight creep of your personal information / phone calls etc etc etc all being 'shared information'. Had an 'interesting' incident yesterday. I wire $ from time to time to a Principal of a really great school (in a really POOR area) in Kingston, Jamaica. I decided yesterday to go online to Westernunion.com and do it online. Which I did using my credit card etc... seemed all pretty simple until later that evening I get alerts via e-mail and a phone call to say they need "MORE INFORMATION in order to process my wire". I call them back and I get a ZILLION questions. Bear in mind am only sending $100 (hardly a questionable amount!). It started with my social, then it went onto previous known addresses, then they asked me a list of names and asked me how I knew these people!! (None of them I did!?) It was all VERY VERY odd, but seemed very functionary to this western union rep. I was really outraged... They just brushed it all off as 'online security' which was sooo wrong... i felt like I was on some list (which I prob am since I am in Kingston all the time). Anyone else noticed any more 'big brother' incidents?
