I'll be working with Black Party promoter James Coppola to move "the filthiest party in nyc" to its new location. Formerly at The Hole, TRIPLE XXX is legendary for its "anything goes" atmosphere and its shameless go-go trash who will do anything for a dollar.

"Offensive Sexual Content"? Aside from the fact that the ad is more comical than prurient, HX already published this exact same artwork by famed author and photographer Danny Fields less than a year ago for a different event. So why the sudden "sex panic" from HX? Apparently the magazine is for sale and the owners feel that "homosexuality" is more commercial without the "sexuality", which is ironic since the magazine makes the bulk of its profits from promoting male prostitution in its back pages.
As I have already told the editors, I think HX is sending a negative, self-hating message to the community. I like HX, I have many friends who work there and i will continue to advertise in their magazine. They've always supported my work; they've put me on the cover twice! But I hope the owners will consider the danger of repressing sexuality in a community built around a common sexual identity. Let's always remember that sexual liberation and gay liberation are not separate issues.
