Thanks for a great vibe and a fun crowd. Daddy Dynell on point...one of my friends reported actual Public Sex. Unfortunately we missed that. But we were happy to meet the fabulous Rose and the sexy Amber, and to say hi to the gang. Chi Chi, thanks for sharing your anecdote about being on stage at midnight for fifteen years straight (except 2001)- an inspiration to us younguns over at 432 W. 14th Street on a Tuesday trying to make something happen. All the best, Richard & Dominique

They say whatever you are doing at the second a New Year begins is what you'll be doing for the rest of that year. This is the first year I honestly hope that's true. Everything was perfect; who could wish for much more (besides more of our friends in the same room)? So, if legend holds, I'll be toasting and laughing with friends and strangers, kissing and dancing with the one I love, listening to the best music for my ears, and looking forward to much, much more! Thank you Chi Chi and...

I agree with chi chi -i guess i should read "paper" magazine -i just thought "clubbed to death" was funny - but if it's not original or has been used elsewhere-we should keep looking-i like the word "unclubbable" but cannot think of a way to use it -i also like triggers suggestion "the club chronicles" kitty

Many thanks to Chi and Johnny for having my "art" ;-) Additional thanks to the staff at CBGBs -- and to Haseena Napier and D. -- for manning and man-handling my craftmanship. was but a lil' sprite back then, but before GG's there was a very spooky place called "little peter's" (!?!) on 3rd Av where McD's is now. I'll never forget the dragsters puking on their glitter platforms around the corner on dimly lit St Marks. Alas, I never made it inside. Is Chi Chi a trapeze artist?

OK, enough! I must insist that everybody stop loving Clubbed to Death right now. I mean it. And I pray I haven't posted too late to prevent it taking the honors. Frankly, as a nightlife expression it's been clubbed to death itself. For years. Trust me. However, I rather liked B. Domination's Club Salad, solely for its whimsy. And in that vein, I'd like to suggest Club Melt, because a little cheese always adds flava to the dish, no? No, but really, Trigger's Club Chronicles is very...

I know I said that I never liked The Palladium but that's not really true. I didn't like the "trying to pretend it's Studio 54" thing that permiated the first year or so. The Steve & Ian "VIP room to nowhere" sort of thing. (If it wasn't for Haoui Montaug running the door it would have been a TOTAL nightmare) but... I knew Chi Chi would love the Jackie-O song. So imperial. Probably the only song in existence about American Royalty. I just found out the box set from Bear Records has been discontinued, which means all of that material will once again sink back in to obscurity the way it was since 1964. Someone should do a box for Nina, totally.

Internet radio is great. Chi Chi will you post your favorite stations? I did a bit of research about creating a station. It seems the easiest method is to use the SHOUTcast plugin for Winamp which allows you to add files to your playlist and click play to broadcast. You can also broadcast from a mic or mixer plugged into your sound card. (crosses fingers for Verbal Abuse in the afternoon) You will need a server to host your stream. You can host your own server with additional SHOUTcast...
