This from Michael Musto: quote:I sadly received this email yesterday from scene survivor Jacob Burckhardt about one of the downtown bright lights who've made my years and years of clubcrawling all the more luminescent: "Just to let you know, Gerard...

Sad. I did not know Mr Fashion but thru the cobwebs of my mind I recall seeing his name quite often while flipping through the rollerdex. RIP VIP!

Gerard was very low key. Very talented and right up there in the Pyramid Club royal pantheon but he never pushed it. Very sweet man.

There was no line between his life and his art, like many of the more obscure "greats" of the analog age his constant self recreation went largely undocumented. Godspeed, Mr. Fashion

And another great has left us. Gerard was a true gem. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. Rest in Peace.

Oh, Mr Fashion! What a legend. I'm posting a bit late, but funny I had been thinking about MR. Fashion because on the first episode of Projecxt Runway this season, Stella, the biker chick * chose trash bags for the "gristedes Challenge" and then found that they were falling apart. All I could think was, Mr. Fashion would have won that challenge - and he would have told anyone, you want at least 3-mils thick if yoiu are going to make a dress from a black plastic garbage bag! A couple of weeks...

Gerard Little's birthday is Monday, April 26. He would have been 55. I grew up with Gerard in Hackensack, NJ. Gerard, Kevin Richardson and I spent those deeply formative years from 12-20 as our own clique and each others' biggest fans. We delivered newspapers, went to movies, worked at BK, danced at CYO's, chased girls (sometimes each others) and began the transformation from what we were born to what we were born to be. Gerard's mother, Juanita, was Frankie Lymon's sister. Gerard has four...

Here we are in 2017. I was hoping that someone who was around then or someone on the Motherboards could help me. I need to track the photographer who took the shot on Gerald's Memorial Poster. I need to get permission to use it. Michael Musto at the top of this thread identified the photographer as Jakob Burkhardt. I contacted Jakob and he says he didn't take the picture. Does anyone know who did? btw, the phone number on the poster is not working and image search is of little help. If you...
