Dear Audrey Antler, I apologize for my wrong assumption about David Armstrong -- whose “Summer of ’79” show at the Albert Merola Gallery in Provincetown (25 May -14 June 2007), which included several photographs picturing Cookie and John Waters during that P-town season, led me (and others) to suspect that it was Armstrong who took those great photos. Judging from Max's age, they look like they were taken in the late '70s. But of course Cookie was photographed by a lot of people throughout...

Not since "Heaven's Gate" has there been such a riviting news story though. They are very similar. We had a field day with it at Jackie 60. "Jackie Joins A Cult: Heaven's Gate". It's times like these that I regret not having Jackie 60. This is a PERFECT Jackie theme. A few of Area's themes were more curated than constructed. Ironically, Eric Goode recalls, art didn't hold up that well as a theme, but artists had a field day. David Hockney flew in to do the pool. Michael Heizer put his meteorites on the dance floor. Warhol did T-shirts and an invisible sculpture. Keith Haring painted something on the dance floor. Barbara Kruger painted something on a wall. Basquiat, Alex Katz, Jenny Holzer and Tom Wesselmann all did windows. Larry Rivers did a great...

The place is packed of a Saturday with these crazy Jamaican Dancehall queen gyals buying up all sorts of garish prints colors and textures... i think that might be a good next step... must remember exactly the address.. or we should all take a family field trip!

I'm wrecked... I knew Jackie since she was a 'baby Domme' at the age of 19...Jackie stuck by me through many hard times. Most recently when I gave up the 'biz' in New York and went through many trials, she called me every single day and came over nearly as often. She wanted to make sure I didn't lose my marbles along with my business. Though gorgeous and a clothes' horse, & at times a bit of a narcissist (who wouldn't be if you were that gorgeous? What a picture!) she still was grounded,...

Yeah, I have the horns but I also had a table to put my CD book on. I had to demand it. I don't know how they can set up a Superstar DJ on stage at Wembley Stadium or any other stadium and make the DJ put his CD book AND COCKTAIL on the floor. Look at poor little Sammy Jo... On stage in front of (I'm guessing) 50,000 people looking gorgeous but all hunched over getting his (I'm guessing) Roberto Cavalli white jump suit all dirty. As well Hillary's camp is trying to characterize Obama as some kind of chic liberal candidate... meanwhile at my NM caucus poll a bunch of old Chicano famers were all voting for him... everyone was talking out loud about it!

Puna is a zone most who reside there probably wish I wouldn't tell you about. Or more specifically, the zone along the shoreline near the Red Road. A bit of an eye-opener really. I friend has been living here for about a year so I took them up on their endless invitations to come for a bit. So in what would be about the equivalent of a lower 48 county, this zone is served by what is a rural road, some parts paved, some not. This road is never more than about 100 yards from the ocean. It...

Goblin, I haven't found the resort you mentioned but the town nearest to where I'm staying is about twelve miles away and it is Pahoa. In the local dialect it translates as knife. Back in the days it got that name because cane field workers would go there on the weekend to get drunk and usually cause altercations featuring their cane knives. Quaint, no? Today, the sign on the one little main street through the village, which is a collection of about 30 small buildings slightly redolent of a...

Yeah, I like Daddy's story better too. That's history lost to all of us. It reminds me of another true story I'll tell below, not to beat a dead horse (so to speak) but because Daddy's story reminded me of it, and the place in question meant so much to us. Thanks Midge, we'll be fine regardless, we've always make it work. One of the reasons we moved to NYC is because if we DO get laid off here, we've got opportunity we did not have in Cincinnati. As follows, in answer to a question; "What the psychologist is finding out about the...
