You know, I didn't realize that our little Jonah was such a big celebrity. I mean he told me he was but I guess I didn't believe it. I just read this article about him that was in Rolling Stone Magazine. Again, he told me about it but I never got around to actually reading it. It's pretty good. You go Jonah!

Ah Merlin, I remember that storefront, though not its name. And the club that was an entire empty loft building, completely unfinished, called the Toilet. I mean they just set up a bar on an old table and opened the doors of an abandoned building! And what was the bar on 17th & Tenth that had a long row of heavy clanking chains that separated the bar area from the backroom? I can never remember the name. The Hotel Diplomat... I was friendly with the desk clerk and took many johns there,...

Let's just sat it was oil and water. They did not mix. Sweetie, clearly on her home turf, admonished her foe by declaring "Be gone old queen!" ...and he was. It was a lot like Gandalf, before he dies in the first "Lord Of The Rings", declaring to the monster, "You shall not pass!" I would say that that's where Sweetie got her inspiration but it was way before the movie. Actually, it probably was the other way around. I'm with you VIP, Lady Hennessey Brown was... well, I really don't know what to say she was. She was unique. I did MANY shows with her. I even toured through Europe with her. She used to douche every day with Evian water. (That can't be good). The only time I saw her act get out of hand was in Barcelona. We were playing at...

Seems either our beams, St. Jude or Lasher, or all of the above, helped spare NOLA the worst. I was on tenterhooks last night as familiar places were mentioned in the reports... "On Jackson Square, two massive oak trees outside the 278-year-old St. Louis Cathedral came out by the roots, ripping out a 30-foot section of ornamental iron fence and straddling a marble statue of Jesus Christ, snapping off only the thumb and forefinger of his outstretched hand. Hotel guests also were treated to...

From what I've seen and read, the damage is pretty bad. (Guess Lasher and St. Jude were off-duty) The storm actually took pieces off the roof of the Superdome. Some 10,000 people are inside with no electricity and water leaks galore. Whole neighborhoods flooded to the rooftops. Beams to NOLA.

Poor Poor New Orleans!!! This is so heartbreaking. So much ruin and loss from the flooding alone! And the water is still rising! But it would have been worse if the hurricane didn't shift it's direction. It looked like New Orleans was going to take a direct hit. Still pretty bad though. Such a romantic city. How awful.

It's sickening.
