I couldn't possibly forget! Can you believe Garo's show on Sundance? I am a mix of inspired and proud! Also just saw Ms Nicks at the Fillmore, SF a few days ago. During Edge of Seventeen, during her stage walk, I got to hold her hand for a sec, and she looked right into my eyes and said "Thank You!" I have never seen her look more lovely or sound more flawless. That made me think of you, and the good old days. Love to Johnny and all of the magical nightlife luminaries!

Seven, We have a nation running on debt because of transfer payments, quite the progressive liberal agenda, don't you think? Perhaps people should be encouraged to contribute rather than be entitled? Or is that too radical an idea? And yes Maki, Fox News openly supports dropping nukes on Iraq. Go back to sleep now. Love, DD

Join the OWS Maid Brigade for more anti-capitalist street theater! As corporate powers externalize their costs, ordinary people are forced to clean up the mess. From oil spills to bank bailouts, corporate money-making schemes have us working as round-the-clock maids picking up after criminal profiteers… NO MORE NICE On MAY DAY , we will take the streets in classic maid costumes—modified however we see fit—and spread the message that we are sick of cleaning up after capitalism and corporate...

Hi Judy! David Barton Gym and Susanne are not holding their annual Toy Party this year. "The Toy Party" this Friday is another big annual toy drive at Chelsea Piers that Johnny has spun at for the past few years and will be spinning again on Friday 12/2. It is very popular and I believe already sold out (it sells out every year) here is the invite for reference ...much love to you Judy

I often run into the Naked Cowboy at parties. He gets hired for a lot of private events. He really makes me cringe. Nice guy but I just hate that he's the fake version of a NY character. Anyone know the tranny who used to sell things outside of Love Saves The Day? She seems to have inherited their van and still sells stuff (in warmer weather) on St Marks place.

She was a woman who understood the ways of men. She knew the proper way to light a cigar. She ruled with a firm leather gloved hand. She cried at true beauty. She wrote words on paper that could make you shiver. She knew when enough was enough. She was fearless in the face of intellect. She had a tender heart behind her harshest barb. She was loved by everyone who waited patiently to see behind the veil. She knew she was part illuminati and part pagan. I will love and miss her forever. Rest...

Night Nurse ·
My favorite night of all has to be the Home Shopping Network, because it was my first night ever at Jackie. I had been told my several different people- "oh, you would love Jackie." So I went one night, and it was packed to the rafters, but when I walked in I was entraced by Marti and Jessica on stage- dialing the phone, teasing each other's hair, etc. Like nothing I had ever seen before. What I wore will not be discussed, though I remember it too well, as such things have long since been...

We're dying to relive it, except that Betty Badum is no longer reliving anything. I loved her carefully counting the tiny specks of glitter with a pair of oversized joke tweezers from Gordon Novelties (still the best store in showbusiness.) It seemed to carry on for at least five minutes. Fascinating theater! And why the neck brace? Will we ever know? The "Prozac Finale" was all her idea. I remember John telling us cast members just minutes before the curtain...Truley inspired. We never...

Once we did a re-working of Shakespeare's most cursed tragedy. It included a freshly written prologue sending up those unlucky aspects, with Flloydd and Marti whistling in the wing of the stage, the set was all green with peacock feathers and the audience entered the room underneath a ladder that we had strung up over the door. Funny, huh? Well, within seconds of the door opening, the ladder had fallen, almost killing the first customer, and Sissy Fit fell onstage during her scene and broke...

As a lover of festivals and spectacles, I would love to go to Burning Man - it's just always fallen at the same time as Wigstock, so we never have. burning man is fabulous. it can renew my faith in humanity. and as a "ritual junkie" i'm so into the neo-pagan/cyber-shamanic aspect of the whole effigy burning in the desert thang. (not to mention the mind-expanding psychedelics!!) i love looking out over "the playa" and fantasizing about a colony on the moon that would be just like Black Rock City. That was you??? I remember that show, it was genius! "Black like Jackie" was good as was "Fidler In The Hood" but I think we really perfected Blackness in '99 with "Uncle Charlie's Cabin". Truly one of my faves. It was so over the top! I try to explain sometimes to him all the Jackie themes and gatherings and why I love it so much, but he's kind of uncreative and doesn't really get it. I love the word as well. It is a very backwoods, country Dominican slang word that has a translation as the unsheathed cock of a horse.
