Synchronistically, the day after I finally started this topic, the following arrived via email, regarding Zette/Bernard's performances at Pat Field events at Area. Zette/Bernard emailed it to Scott Ewalt as research for the Pat Field book, but reveals so much about Zette and what was her and his genius, I thought Id share it here..

Tarot was such an inspired theme, and you all took it to places where I didn't know it could go! I wish I had got there in time for the 1st set. I especially liked the ladies of the Wheel of Fortune for their shambling goof-ball antics, their glitter, their costume accident & their mantra of "Repetition is a form of change." True! and it gave me insight into that card that I didn't have before. Also, Hattie Hathaway's devil routine & I didn't catch the name of the Wednesday Addamsy...

Fingers crossed all - CDs hopefully ready by Thurs/Fri if the live recording went well! Bettie Crow - You can still catch the magic! The exhibit is up until June 20th and there is now video of the show to watch on rotation at the gallery. My camera died during filming, so if anyone has some footage of the last five acts and, as it turns out, my own 2 mins. on stage, this is all I am missing in order to have the whole show documented. And I am hoping to hear from Selena soon for vid.

1) Matt B. took the Chinatown bus and yes, it's a real bus. And yes, it's really $10.00 to Boston. And yes, it lets you out really close to the Ferry. BUT IT WAS 3 HOURS LATE!!!!!!!! He missed the ferry and took another "real" bus to Hyannis where he missed his connection to P-Town and had to take a cab. Not a real money saver after all. He said the bus was great except they are in no hurry what so ever. He would take it again but leave LOTS of time. 2) P-Town is very dog friendly. We took...

A few weeks ago I attended a budding "all things electro endeavor" hosted by a friend in Manhattan, who admitted that night: he could use some help with building a "new" crowd for such a party. And, I thought, as I listened and looked about, of Larry Tee, who has done so well with his own brand of ElectroClash (at Luxx, and, beyond ...). So, I wrote Larry an email of introduction regarding my friend the promoter, [outlining what he was attempting to put together, peppered with a few good...

Used to love real early Roseanne show too...(only EARLY ones!) Did anyone see Bea Arthurs one woman show?

OK, I too owned a rat wrap and wore eye make-up. Here is one of my '80's record covers. (It's a little beat up) Designed by the way by the brilliant Nick Egan. He did Culture Club, Bow Wow Wow, Malcolm McClaren, Hazy Fantazy to name a few. Nick is actually how I met George. (He's Nick & Ellen in the Book) Anyway, here it is. Have your way with me. God rest Elizabeth Montgomery since she died of rectal cancer in 1995, but Barbara Eden is still around. I think both of these shows caught the zeitgiest of the time in different ways and this accounts for their success and longer life in rerun and cableland. But clearly, their hold of millions of people's interest into the 21st century is a credit to our fascination with the convergence of mortal meeting magic. Though Bewitched was first on television, it was based on the two movies Bell,...

oof I'm in the Le Roi thread. I loved the flourish, Hattie of "And he will never write another word again!" Not that I wish that on anyone. But read T. Why did Courtney need to sit? Is she preggers again? Was she tipsy? Or was she wearing 8 inch stilettos? Those would be the only reasons I would let old Courts cop a squat on my stool. Kembra is just too nice. What could they have done if she had refused? Thrown her out? And St'an, though I do think Truman's "Answered Prayers" debacle was brilliantly mad and tragic, I would never wish the cursed Block upon anyone either. Loved "Sarah" . Been there. Done that. I wish I had written about it first. But I am very impressed with that little things ability to weave a realistic tale about such a life and make us all wonder if he lived it or not. I say good for him. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here. Even Augustine Borroughs followed up "Running With Scissors" with more of his own life story in " Dry". Now that was a scary book. Reminded me of all our lives in this generation.

and the sad truth is his statements are no worse than those of our own Democratic presidential candidates, Kerry and Edwards. You should have heard Kerry on Sunday night's debate, giving the whole "marriage is between a man and a woman" schtick and all the hockey about civil unions and actually hedging on whether he'd support a constitutional ban.
