She was a woman who understood the ways of men. She knew the proper way to light a cigar. She ruled with a firm leather gloved hand. She cried at true beauty. She wrote words on paper that could make you shiver. She knew when enough was enough. She was fearless in the face of intellect. She had a tender heart behind her harshest barb. She was loved by everyone who waited patiently to see behind the veil. She knew she was part illuminati and part pagan. I will love and miss her forever. Rest...

our dialogues and our lives held such momentum.. terence glorified the grandiose like no one else.. we shared erosion and wind and water devas.. we shared our hearts.. and our contempt she had an appreciate for the macabre.. like ageing and all the grisly stuff that goes with.. i was so looking forward to growing old with this woman.. but no i'm on that journey alone now as there will never be another like her.. i love you terence.. robert

Open me up and find the perfect place to get lost. I offer you vicious beauty of my voice before the humans wanted it to make sense. Your voice, lit cigarette against pyramid on the dollar bill of my coronary muscle. My spirit runs along the ridges above the Gila River threading lightening strikes, laughing like cum you sweetly frightened. I blessblame that Miller girl for introducing us the way scar is seduced back beneath skin. A blame made of the scent of leather and pale pink roots of...

Terence left this Earth this past month, I am deeply saddened that she is now gone from it. When I met Terence she was a very serious, striking and commanding person so I was certainly intimidated, it was obvious I was dealing with an intellectual so I needed to be at my best behavior and my most attentive in her presence. She was an accomplished writer, a luminary in the New York underground, and a maestra of an art I'd only read about; she could make the most debauched intellectual blush...

Miss Understood ·
I keep seeing little funny things that I always forget to tell anyone. I was in this crazy crowded market today. Bangok has so many of these and they all have a different feel... but they're all narrow and mobbed. Then people walk through pushing food carts! But you know, the locals are just so used to it. Thay never bug out. In the US we expect everything to be comfortable all of the time. My friend has a very small shop on 2nd Ave, and customers will actually tell him to turn the air up or...

Thanks for the dialogue! Roman a clef always has been with us. 'Liaisons Dangereuses' is a great example. That book was a total scandal and banned when it appeared. The author was forced to write a book on the Joys of Marriage or some such drivel to clear his name. (That book was NOT a best seller...) In any event, what happened with Truman is he wrote in a 'fiction' (Answered Prayers) the details of a murder of a high society gent, by his wife, one of the grandes dames... The lady had...

Glam baby, tell me a story. Ya, you see that alot in bad poetry/slams. Spilled guts have no literary value in themselves; when the poem does not resolve, it's just more goo. Michael, you erased your post. Negatively tinged though it was (that you don't believe you're creative) you are magnetized by the context of the creative and do add to the setting! That is worth alot. Don't malign yourself, neither for having had a decent childhood. I know first hand the awfulness of having a...

But for a few exceptions, I find the chronciling and passing of lessor knowns way more fascinating then the lives of generic stars of the day. Seven, that was an uplifting piece, thanks for posting. Anna, to answer your question about the apartment we were buying there: Due to one paper we needed, we were not able to close on the place on our original date three days before the hurricane. The apartment in the Fauborg Marigny fared well, as did that whole neighborhood. But we and the seller, who is probably now a lifelong friend, called off the sale yesterday. Besides the obvious reasons, with the immediate housing shortage when the...

This article made us sad: Anne Rice comes to Jesus NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (AP) -- It's Halloween, and Anne Rice has a new book -- a memoir, in fact -- that's climbing best-seller lists. Everything is normal, then. Anne Rice says she hopes to take her skills writing vampire books and "redeem myself." Normal if it were 1994 -- the height of Rice's megaselling fame as a queen of Southern Gothic pulp. For those who haven't been paying attention lately to vampire lit, America's most famous...

Since returning to London in September I have heard them everywhere but reading the stats on the Sisters success is astounding. From the BBC: "New York pop group Scissor Sisters had the UK's best-selling album of 2004 after overtaking rock band Keane's sales on the last day of the year. Scissor Sisters' self-titled debut CD sold 1,594,259 copies in 2004 - 582 more than Keane's Hopes and Fears. The Scissor Sisters' surge was so unexpected BBC Radio 1 named Keane as the top-seller in a rundown...

To move from a discussion of the writer (she said diplomatically) to what T. Romano actually wrote, the following is interesting because it was discussed in this very topic as well.. I think the only people who were convinced that this was a re-birth of nightlife were magazines like HX and NEXT who were eager to sell these large new cash caverns full-page ads (and as a seller of ads myself I understand this, but wishing doesn't make it so.) I personally knew that Limelight didn't stand a...
