Like many of us, I have suppressed this haunting memory for way too long: well, does anyone want to remember Linda's first and last Lip-singing act? It was at Pyramid back in 1992, when she made a stunning Debutt, singing "strangers In the Night", yes the Sinatra version!! The audience fell silent, and the number was dead on arrival! linda has shunned any mention of this topic, however subtle... should this forum force her to finally confront her demons??

i saw a show that sounds eerily similar... if not the same queen. in a neighborhood bar, packed back room with tables (no chairs) and the stage had stairs leading down to it from the back. i remember she held a pink and green plastic toy microphone in her hand for the lip synch. and that thai voice in the stand up section... i can still hear it in my head. incredible!!

This is one topic where I find a lot of girls I know HATE her. I find it really interesting. I usually don't notice things like this (gender) but it's the intensity of the hatred that always astounds me. I don't find many boys who feel that way. I'm not a huge fan, I don't own any of her CD's but I do like some of her work. I also have a soft spot for her since I had to lip sync her "Smells Like Teen Spirit" cover in the "Kurt, Courtney and Jackie" play at Jackie 60 years ago.

No offense vulgar, but ... I may be responding to this five years late(r) - but I am sorry, Linda Simpson doing Frank's verion of "strangers" is GENIUS! Any queen could do Nancy's version - but to have the ( tucked ) cajones to do Frank!!!! That is as brilliant as any of Andy Kaufman's acts.
