Oddly enough, this band's music just poppped into my head out of the blue. Incredibly produced at a time when technology was still in the dark ages, they managed to create, through multiple tracking, a very interesting take on the Phil Spector "Wall Of Sound" concept. It's hard today to believe that this amazing ensemble's singles were played incessantly on the cutting edge dancefloors all over NYC because, compared to modern music, they seem decidedly un-danceable.
Since they almost never provided a lyric sheet, I remember everyone used to sit around, light up a joint and try to figure out exactly what Elizabeth Frazer was singing. Well, of course, some rabid fans have listened long and hard and come up with a lyrical transcription of their entire oeuvre for our obsessive reading pleasure:
