We (my mom, my neighbor, and I) got to The Knitting Factory at 9pm. When we got in there, I was looking for pictures of Stevie, But I didn't see many. We got a drink and went into the main stage area.
When we got in that room there was lots of Stevie music playing very loudly, and a Stevie video playing (Red Rocks) which was not in tune with the music. It should of been, because it was boring looking at the video and not seeing Stevie actually sing that song.
At about 10:15pm the performers started, finally! All I saw were 3 Stevies dancing around to Stevie music for 2 hours. They weren't even singing. I thought it was so boring! I thought there were gonna be 1000 Stevies performing onstage. The only 1000 I've seen was the audience. The audience must of been 1000 Stevies.
I say this whole experience was boring, my mom says it was terrible and my neighbor says it was like Hell. This was my first and will certainly be my last. It was that bad.
I would just rather see the real Stevie on stage performing and singing her songs. I didn't really have to go to this. I could've just stayed home and blared my Stevie music or watched my videos. And sang and danced to them.
I didn't meet any of my friends from online because I'm not the type of person to go right up to you and talk to you. You have to come to me.

Here's what I was wearing: a black peasant top, a black knit skirt, black stockings, black boots, a gold cresant moon necklace, and silver glitter on my face. I was the one with the shoulder length brown hair and glasses. I was skinny and tall.

My mom was wearing: black shoes, black jeans, and a black top with white flowers on it. She had redish, brownish curly shoulder length hair. And she was tall and skinny.

My neighbor was wearing: black boots, black pants, and a blck suit type shirt. She had blonde shoulder length hair and black Stevie glasses on. She was a bit chubby and short about 5'1.

I didn't take any picutres. Only 1 of me and my mom. So if anyone took pictures, I would love to see them.

I just feel I was cheated on this thing. I'll never go back again.

Oh Jenny...
Sorry you and your Mom had such a bad time. Obviously this night is not for you. In "The Big City" Jenny, people go out a little bit later. Actually, a show that starts at 10:15 in a nightclub is pretty early. Also, in New York we don't take things as literally as you do in Danbury. We can watch a video without the sound for instance. The video is atmospheric, you're not supposed to stand in front of the screen and watch it all night like "Friends". It's decor. And we didn't put up a million pictures of the real Stevie Nicks because well... haven't you see them all anyway? The pictures on the wall were of you. Again, not literally YOU Jenny but pictures of the crowd as Stevie... get it? 1000 Stevies. This night is about the Stevie Audience as much as it is about Stevie herself. The girls dancing on stage are go go dancers by the way, maybe your Mom can explain that to you. They are not supposed to be singing. And as far as the shows, did you see any of them? Boy George singing "You can go your own way"? OK, He did sing it as a Reggae song. Maybe that threw you. Most people, however, thought it was brilliant. That's why the ceiling almost fell down. Because people were sreaming and clapping so loudly. And Basil Twist's recreation of the Gypsy video done with puppets? Did you catch that? I don't expect you to know that Basil is one on the most famous pupeteers in the world but still... didn't you like that?
Anyway Jenny, I guess you should stick with Stevie in concert. NOTS is a little over your head.

Here's what I was wearing: Black Doc Martins. flare blue jeans with a hole in the crotch. A white Mexican wedding shirt with a black leather vest.

Go Go dancer Dolly Domination as Stevie
(this was one of the many pictures on the wall last night NOT of the real Stevie Nicks.)

My husband John and I had a wonderful time at NOTS! Thanks to everyone who performed and help put this together! We took a few picturesof ourselves and our friends and a few of the performers in the first set, before the batteries in my camera died. I could smack myself for not bringing an extra set! Anyroad, if anyone else took pictures I'd love to see them, especially of Gypsy Wild doing SOTM... GW you were AWESOME!... and anything from the third set which we missed 'cause we had to leave a little after 1 to catch a train back to LI. I heard Boy George's reggae version of GYOW was amazing. MP3s anyone? ;-)

Tommy, you just reminded me... yes Billy O's "Beautiful Child" was a standout! Soooo moving and sweet. I'm glad it didn't take too long to find his CD! And Billy if you're out there... I loved your winged heart charm;I was wearing the same exact one LOL! Not only do you have a great voice, but great taste in jewelry ;-)

Well, I for one had a complete blast. And Daddy, your response above was a model of restraint and patience, considering it was directed at someone who clearly had no appreciation whatsoever for the huge amount of effort that was put into this night.

I've been in NYC for a little over 3 years now, and have always meant to go to NOTS but every year I'd find out about it after it had happened. Not this year. The friend I went with made me put it on my calendar in November. It was *wonderful* - no wonder this has gone on for as many years as it has! Thank you so, SO much to everyone involved. My only regret is not going up onstage during the final battle. I'd thought everyone in Steviewear was allowed, but then Chi Chi only directed performers to come up, and I was a little too hesitant to just jump on up there when it wasn't clear whether that was kosher.

I've got a bunch of pics up on my website here, if y'all want to take a lookie.

Rock on, gold dust women.
