Alex, we are all LOVING these journals... it sort of will be sad for us when you get home (in the nicest possible way!)... its so frustrating that you can't ship all of this stuff home...don't suppose my goofy mate ALex was any help on that front eh.... Originally, we had worked out a deal to record in a professional studio one month ahead of the event for the CD however 1) sponsorship interest had dropped when we went to war. 2) In order to have done the CD in the studio the artists had to have their songs ready to go by March 1, March 15 at the latest. I think S'tan is right and more..I think Ms. LeRoi will serve us up big time just as soon as she can get and stay in touch with her deepest heart. I can understand the double edged sword of feeling accomplished and a failure at the same time. Let her swim her way outta that and we may yet see a great novel about the whole human condition. My husband John and I had a wonderful time at NOTS! Thanks to everyone who performed and help put this together! We took a few pictures of ourselves and our friends and a few of the performers in the first set, before the batteries in my camera died. I could smack myself for not bringing an extra set! I am standing AND applauding you S'tan. If I wanted money I'd have never become an artist. But I see it in its proper perspective. The hotel diplomat must be the hotel I stayed when the first time I visited NY in 1989. It was my first travel abroad, I was alone, the first time to experience 0 degree temperature, spoke very little English... so it was big help everyone worked in the hotel was so much nice to me

I'm very grateful to have this forum to air my concerns and get feedback! (Thank you Johnny and Chi Chi). As for "ACT UP being past and erased" maybe it's something as simple as not *enough* time has gone by (so it isn't "officially recorded" yet, etc.) There were some academics at the Oral History screening, and one said transcripts from the ACT UP film are going into a new history book.
