Chi Chi, thank you so much for the response. I'm going to miss Susanne's party. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to go to VanDam in the next week or two. I hope you guys have a wonderful holiday, what ever you end up doing. Love, Judy

Just wanted to thank Bill Brewster for sending us this note about the passing of Francis Grasso, 52, who is generally regarded as the first modern DJ. His club The Sanctuary helped define late-sixties(!) gay disco and he pioneered the whole shamanistic tradition of DJs taking the crowd on a trip.. If you don't know Bill, he wrote the amazing "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life:The History of the Disc Jockey" which is filled with amazing stories including Francis Grasso's. my favorite jackie theme would have to be the ball at ascot 1900. to me that was the most beautiful night. i loved getting to work and seeing the entire staff dressed and ready to entertain. other highlights were walking in and not being recognized or having to ask "who is that" someother very special events would have to include, california uber alleys, please kill me, low life, men, women and drag, i'm not a coke whore; i'm a model, telemundo 60, the absinthe drinkers........ what i miss...

Although I am a Brown Party fanatic, I have to admit it's the performances that I miss the most and the onstage banter between Chi, Paul, Hattie and assorted guest verbalists. little Annie intoxicating a crowd of non believers, amanda & her poodle balloons, Armen & his whistle, Billy Beyond doing anything always brilliantly, Heather Rabbit serving booty & fierce domidetermination, Clark & David almost getting into a fight over the correct Tallulah hair, Michael O'Brien at...

Alot of you Jackie 60 regulars might remember my friend Jane (from the BBC). She was the one in the DJ Booth always with some piece of Latino eyecandy or some exotic Arabian knight. She would usually be the one reaping the benefits of late-night "Party Naked". I recently found out that she keeps a journal of her (s)exploits. I read one chapter about Redline Richie that was incredible. She also has one on Flowrider. I've asked her to start posting here. You will drool! One of her obsessions...

You will gag Minerva but I was there when that picture was taken. It was at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. I was DJing. Before the show I went out into the lobby to call my wife. I looked next to me and at the very next phone was a 3 1/2 foot Gary Coleman in a blonde wig! I was trying to tell Chi Chi quietly, "You won't believe this..." Even better than the wig though were the shoes. They were these really ugly old lady pumps with about a 2 inch heel. The best thing was that they were...

Have you ever noticed how bad travel articles in magazines an newspapers are? They are all formatted around overpriced packages. Even here, if you pick up a free (advertiser funded) tourist guide or map, it is full of listings for things that are absurdly overpriced for what things cost here. This place is so gorgeous that there's not much more the pricey places can offer you. You don't need a pool with a crystal clear ocean in front of you! A simple, lovely, Gilliganesque bungalow is about...

More pre-summer bleached blondes than you can shake a can of bleach at, with their also bleached mates in matching Sergio Valenti and earthshoes. Why do dykes have the most amazing hairstyles on the planet? This subject is always so polarizing, and we've tried to steer clear of it ... While all of it was going on, we were being good little students and getting our education at Ohio University in the middle of nowhere. Zazoo did go to Limelight and Club USA in '92 (or ˜93) and had a blast. The Little Professor bookstore on campus carried "Project X" but that was the extent of our knowledge of the scene in NYC. When Chi Chi posted Michael Wilkinson's note above, we debated for over a week. When...

Z+S, you describe JoJo's dolls as though they are magical (which it seems they may well be)... BTW, JoJo did not write us specifically requesting to join the forum like the rest of our ArtMakers have. He just started sending his doll images to us to post. He did not even send his log-in name after several requests. A bit of explanation... Mark Twain is said to have once wrote: "When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Cincinnati because it's always 20 years behind the times." This still holds true. We were asked to host a night at a local gay club here in Cincinnati about a year after Zazoo was "born." we agreed, but only on our terms... What did this mean? Well... 1. Good music. 2. No crappy Drag Queens badly lipsyching to 3 year-old songs. 3. "Freaks" got in free They reluctantly agreed to...
