Was out last night at a renegade punk bar in Billyburg (i.e. Williamsburg, the Brooklyn art mecca) tossing back stale beer / listening to Sepulatura with a newly migrated New Yorker who came to us via London from Chicago. Indeed, I am growing quite fond of this witty, brazen and beautiful girl who aspires to wrestle more than anything in the world. We were talking of the windy city and I mentioned you had joined the ArtMaker forum. And such a smile came across her face as she told me how...

Truely a celebration of all things Page. The slide show, Josef Astor's words, Page's mother's references to her as "my little girl," and Antony's version of "In My Little Cubicle" moved me enormously. Of course it is always a treat to see Linda Simpson in full drag in the afternoon. She did a great job in organizing the memorial. It struck me that most transsexuals strive for anonymity, and normality (and who can blame them), but Page was cut from a different cloth. She was, in her own...

Was this the same Tara that was pretty big and would wear black rubber dresses? Often she wore a black Betty Page wig and I used to tell her she could totally win in a plus-size Betty competition. I used to see her at Mother and also Kitsch-Inn and I even have a picture of her somewhere. (without her wigs she had a shaved head) If it's the one I'm thinking of I had no idea she was even a tranny! I thought she was genetic girl all this time! Just goes to show you never know. Very, very sad.

AND BRING jOjO !!! actually just a funny semi-waking dream I had this morning. --actually caused, most likely, from watching the performance tape from the womb show, which I had not forced myself to sit through yet. After much pulling my hair, groaning, talking very loudly and repetitively to myself and pacing about the living room, I got through it. But what I realized is that YOU TWO twats were the ones to go into shock and hustle with tons of bustle off the floor when my audio came on!

Next to Quentin Crisp, one of my favorite New Yorkers was an uptown girl whom I belatedly learned passed on. I was visitng the NYTimes obit section for the first time in many months and discovered Daphne Helman, had passed away this summer very close to if not on Warhol's birthday.) She was listed as a name on the bottom of the page but the link wasn't working. I adore Anne Rice, and can't wait to read the new one. However, the guy who has gay sex with himself is not that exciting. I have gay sex with myself all the time. Technically speaking, I am a girl having sex with me, a girl. I don't talk to myself or anything, though. And I do usually roll over and fall asleep or just get up and leave when I 'm done. They say one can't live on love alone but once again "they" are wrong! Many thoughts have been swooshing around my cranium since Thanksgiving night when I returned home after a lovely dinner at dear friends house to find I didn't really have an apartment left. Now that sounds like a movie girl!!! Well, you are obviously on some sort of path. Good luck. I mean it wasn't all bad. Most of those kids are now working on Wall Street (underneath the clownface make-up I always saw them as "future investment bankers of America). The Granddaddy of all horrible club fires occurred in Boston at the Coconut Grove in 1942, killing 492 people. The fire was started by someone simply lighting a match in order to screw in a lightbulb. Most of the victims died from smoke inhalation, though locked exits were a factor. If such a tragedy can be caused by a match, how could anyone even dream of pyrotechnics? I have always been opposed to them, and still am to this day. Though fire-eating can be safer and more easily contained, it...
