Re: Tom Murrin AKA Alien Comic

Chi Chi ·
Thank you for starting this topic Hatches.. Tom Murrin / The Alien Comic was our own Lipstick Traces from the Dadaists, a direct line from the Cabaret Voltaire to the stages of 8 BC, LaMama, Jackie 60, PS 122 and everywhere that really mattered in between. If you knew Tom or had ever seen one of his performances, you will know what a loss this is. From the entire Jackie Factory family, deepest condolences to all of his many fans, family and friends.

well of course i find my way right to the source! I'm glad someone is paying homage to the real creative source of jackie -the bathrooms. when you could get in of course, when miss arias wasn't being nailed by a coterie of Germanic male models or getting sloppy with the House of Domination. You could die there on line till miss A was finished.

A few years back I gave up a broom closet share on Seventh Street & First Ave and moved to a huge, two bedroom apartment in Park Slope with a plutonic gay male friend. Anyway, my roommate and I agreed to have separate phone lines, and I used a pre-existing one in my bedroom. Needless to say these clothes are well on their way into becoming somewhat of a collectors item,...

Stacey made some interesting observations about crossdressers. Most of the crossdressers I have encountered are men who, by day, rigidly comply with their ""male role." I think that they fetishize their "female' side because to them it is forbidden. I guess, living in my little "bohemian" bubble just places me outside of that. I have no fear of wearing bright colors, giggling, gossiping, or discussing personal issues when I'm not in drag. I don't really acknowledge a "masculine" and a...

Sometimes the desire may be growing and latent and its a matter of timing. I remember what a quiet, shy kid I was until in 8th grade, the boy behind me in class would not leave me alone. He was always whispering funny things to me and singing songs to me really low until he finally won me over and in a big way. Suddenly I was transformed, which really...

The Station is a reputable place, those guys are really nice to work with. Bottom line, however, is they are responsible for the safety of their customers. I'm glad Darla posted the performance rider. The band and, more pointedly, their agents and managers should also be held accountable, and named in any court proceedings.
