Re: I'm from normal parents (The Pyramid Club Topic)
To set the record straight, I didn't even own a pair of chaps until the late '90's! But Dee Finley is indeed a happy Pyramid memory. She must've walked through those golden doors when she was 12. She was the first of all of us to have major tooth troubles. Now, thanks to Elizabeth Taylor, her smile is more perfect than it was that first day we laid eyes on her in 1982! And to think I owe my very presence at Jackie 60 to Dee (but that's another topic...) Joey Horatio, the Pyramid's amazing...

The thought of being a NYC expatriate has crossed my mind many times as of late. I too was at the Winter Music Conference in March in sunny Miami, and I had some of the best club experiences I have EVER had in my life. Powerhouse DJs and clubgoers from the around the world brought back many fond memories for me of the NYC club scene in the late 80s when I first moved here. In particular at Miami's Club Space and Crow Bar, I was surrounded by a glamorous, friendly, diverse, international...

oh honey, didn't mean to jump down your throat - you are certainly welcome to your opinion and certainly don't need to apologize for it. I guess I was just surprised, that's all. I guess another thing I really hate about Fla. is the overt racism. In South Beach every time Johnny went down to DJ he would be wined and dined and put up somewhere like the Delano (or in happier times, The Raleigh) - the star treatment, right? But then at least once on every visit he'd be stopped and asked for...

That was you??? I remember that show, it was genius! "Black like Jackie" was good as was "Fidler In The Hood" but I think we really perfected Blackness in '99 with "Uncle Charlie's Cabin". Truly one of my faves. It was so over the top! It's really hard to shock people today, especially at one of our events but... black total top masters and their white pussy boy slaves in cages and all set in the pre-civil war South had people's jaws on the floor! I remember black stud Joseph all dressed...

You will gag Minerva but I was there when that picture was taken. It was at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. I was DJing. Before the show I went out into the lobby to call my wife. I looked next to me and at the very next phone was a 3 1/2 foot Gary Coleman in a blonde wig! I was trying to tell Chi Chi quietly, "You won't believe this..." Even better than the wig though were the shoes. They were these really ugly old lady pumps with about a 2 inch heel. The best thing was that they were...

BUTT WIPING...new topic Mommy? So I don't want you all to get the impression that's it's all this gritty street thing. I was just hanging there to experience the realness. Today I did the flashy mall thing. There is this big cluster of huge flashy malls full of affluent Thai teenagers. While there are a lot of American fashion chains, there are also some great Thai designer shops. There's lots of Japanese influence. The American fastfood places are all there in a cluster (KFC, Starbucks,...

You can get boots done, boobs done, anything ya'need!~ I'm taking a break from all the shopping. I'm in a beach town called Krabi. I'm staying in a Bungalow on a nearby quieter beach. This area is known for dramatic rock formations, huge spooky limestone cliffs surrounding the beaches, and caves. Yesterday I took a boat ride that took us to 4 islands. It was an all day trip that included lunch and snorkeling (less than the price of a movie). The fish here are so colorful. I really relate to...

My favorite so far is the dyke/guest who asked friend and owner of gay guest house { a serious leatherman) after calling him to her room , " Could we please have new pillows, these smell like men." On the other hand, The caterpillow coccoons are bursting in the dunes. Random caterpillows headed out and over the hills and valleys of the sand in every direction towards the sea. The birds singing and darting by. Come September they will be butterflies and the humans will be naked in the reeds.

Sweetie - I love you - you always say the darndest things and I often find myself nodding 'uh-huh' with my mouth open. You also wouldnt be the first to wonder why 'we' cant find some common ground to stand on - at least one or two nights of the week anyway. Rose - that was a caustic little note - but I agree with the spirit, if not the letter of it - No one likes a hint of Male Privilidge - like "Liz is back in Bloomingdales" musking up the TG landscape. When the umbrella term "transgender" started to encompass everyone on the Benjamin scale, from 1 to 6, I welcomed it. I remember how the NYC Drag Queens fought to not be included under that term at Stonewall 25, in order to have a separate marching contingent from Transgender. I was saddened by that at the time, but now have more understanding. There is really very little that an active transsexual (I make that distinction as I have encountered so many on the net that call themselves...

thoughtfully put Stacy Im going to add that politically it might be easier to define "transgendered behavior", as opposed to a "transgendered" group of people. Everyone has a different personal identity, and I don't think its necessary to catagorize - especially for legal reasons. "Thou shalt not discriminate on the basis of varied gender expression." Now there's a law for ya! Afterall, its the expressing of gender variation that "invites" trouble from the ignorant, small-minded and wicked.

I've always just felt, hmm, I guess you can call it "socially androgynous." While growing up I was very uncomfortable with the expectations of the male gender role. Still, I didn't drop the toy trucks and run for the Barbies. I preferred Legos and crayons. "Gender" can refer to biology or it can refer to social roles. Personally, I think that while male and female personalities probably have some natural genetic differences, our culture tends to exaggerate those differences to bizarre...

This topic is really buzzing tonight. Way cool. I was a closeted CD for some years and I had to recently admit to myself that I wasn't a straight male either. Since expressing myself in a more constructive way I have found that I love it and am considering a 24/7 lifestyle. It is so very hard to explain why, but it just seems to feel right. Although I have had lots of encouragement it was also helpful to hear in a TG support group that I attend that "it's ok to step back". I know that once I...

You did not really mean to imply that if you're under the influence of some chemical it somehow excuses your actions criminal or otherwise. As to the horrible acts shown in movies in this case it was a real person and a real crime and it is being turned into a sideshow by the film makers. Why don't they just call the film "MaGILA Monster", And add a light hearted twist of whimsey to the whole affair.
