Who can remember that far back! But the Club 69 record I did was "Riding into Battle" and the vocalist I used was me. And yes, I was in Menudo Nancy... What of it? And yes, it's ALL true about Me & Ricky Martin. So there I said it. Is that what you want? And this is my web site. johnnydynell.com
Daddy, I just checked out your site...intresting! I was an intern at atlantic records from 1988-89 at the same time I managed an artist on pow wow records "poetry" produced by dj jazzy jay(zulu nation) You must have known herbie corsack or dealt with mark kamins.....there's a blast from the past. Ps. I own all the menudo records too!
Congrats on the Glammy nomination Daddy! But you deserve like 100 awards, at least. Who'd you have to serve? Get ready for loads more groupies, free coke offers, and the vicious glares of the competition.
Johnny's latest podcast (uploaded today) is my favorite so far. 100% Dynell #5 is called ELECTRO VOCAL ANTHEMS, and it is dripping with vocals...pretty, pretty and guaranteed to help your makeup application for that big upcoming night out! http://www.johnnydynell.net
I have to admit it's a little wierd posting in your own "Hopelessly Devoted" topic but hey... I found this up on youtube. These guys from Australia did a version of my song "Jam Hot" and I think it's genius. I love it!
... My favorite quote from a review of the exhibit was "~Better are images capturing the rough-hewn dirt and grit of the club scene. New York DJ Johnny Dynell rushes the lens screaming with his middle finger~"

VERY Excited to see everyone tomorrow night - PLEASE note that shows are at 11 PM sharp with butoh method go-go beginning at 10:30. So DON'T POP IN LATE if you'd like to see DUELING BANKHEADS, HEATHER LITTEER or MCs PAUL ALEXANDER and myself. (If you are late, though, the vocal debut of DIRTY MARTINI at 1 AM should be memorable too! And DADDY will rock the casbah till LATE-NIGHT!
WONDERFUL to see everyone who came out last night, and to watch a new generation discover The Bankheads! Maki, you were missed, and Ill round up some pics as they come in and post them here for you. Feel better..
Everyone was looking for you Maki. Heather and the Bankheads were perfect. Vangeline and company looked stunning as always and a lot of people were asking about them. Great to see Judy, Abbey, Hatches and so many young people.
I went last night and was somewhat disappointed by the crowd. The place was packed. The music was great. Everyone was having a blast. However, the pageantry of Mother's seemed underrepresented...especially for something as fun as a Holiday party. The whole scene was basically a gay bar. And there is certainly nothing wrong with a "gay bar" unless you were expecting alot more of the creatures of the night. Jeans and T-shirts have there place...I just hoped it wouldn't have been here. Sadly,...
Hi MissLauren Thanks for sharing your views on the party, and we hope to see you at some of our big show nights next year. We always appreciate the critiques, though the absence of the "pageantry of MOTHER" ten years after its closing as a venue is a bit out of our control!
Got there a bit late for the Hang; arrived with btwist only to be greeted by the enchanting JudyVee! Poison Eve, Tina*Ahrlene, Daddy and Michael Santo (who showed us pics and video of Heather Litteer and Bankheads!) were among the revelers we were able to catch up with a bit. Dirty Martini ruled the stage just before we left! Hope you are feeling better, dear Maki+! Happy Holidays to all the Motherboards family, and to all enjoy a wonderful, safe new year!
Chi Chi, Your events are always wonderful from your end. I have been attending for over a decade. The Click and Drag Aquarius party was amazing. You always set the table so well...it is then up to who shows up to eat. At Aquarius, it was like a trip thru "A MidSummers Nights Dream." It was a fabulous, fantasy spectacular with so much to look at because so many people followed your lead. At Winter Solstice, most people were just dressed trendy. I guess I thought the crowd was going to be more...
....I missed all MB gangs! I had a very minor surgery and dr. didn't tell me any "don't do~" so I had some (actually many) drinks 3 days later then got high fever. I'm so stupid Look forward the pics of party...
I didn't know where to post so I'm putting this is my own topic. I mean, what the hell is the point of having a topic if can't post in it. Anyay... I'm in Los Angeles sitting by the pool (of course) pretending to be a rock star. It's fun. (I was even wearing sunglasses for about 2 minutes but they drive me crazy and I took them off). I'm here performing with my buds Pink Martini. We are doing 3 (sold out) nights at The Hollywood Bowl. I'm singing back up and pretty much acting like a retard...
