Re: Rice Queens - The Anne Rice topic

First of all let me just say the Vampire Chronicles are GORGEOUS. So sensual, and when reading the passages in Queen of the Damned involving Armand and Daniel (the human interviewer of Interview) I still get so hot that I have to throw down the book at some point and jack off. I confess I've only read the first three: Interview, The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. Of these three, Queen of the Damned is my favorite, because its like those special issue comic books where all the...

Widely publicized and with a NYMag article to come out Holly died last week. She had been my art dealer from 1974-1980. Everything the many NYTimes obits said about her and Grace Gluck's full biography is true. She treated artists like friends, supported many many talents, and went with her gut feelings no matter what the odds. My personal memory which I'll never forget was the crazy summer we drove up to Lake Placid with a stationwagon trunk full of white wine and returned with a...

A three-way with Armand and Daniel, the mortal interviewer. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Their erotic scenes from Queen of the Damned are the sexiest in the whole Vampire Chronicles if you ask me. I wouldn't mind going down on Akasha, the Queen of the Damned herself. If she really looked like Ailiyah did in the movie.

randella, you're entirely right: it just becomes so sad when the 'drama' of the famous person is misunderstood & mocked. numerous friends & family called me when the news of adam's stuff was reported (like they used to when he was going to be on tv), but with this gleeful kind of "your hero's not so perfect after all" your description of the goodies from berlin awoke that fetishy new record thing in me: the joy of getting the albums (ants & otherwise), of examining liner notes...

I found this tidbit, from theBostonChannel.com interesting, and not reported anywhere else - http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/2009042/detail.html Also read that each burn pateint's hospital bill will be in the $400,000-500,000 range. So the $500 saved on the insulation yielded a $20 million hospital bill, among other heartache and tragic losses not even measurable, a huge hit to the club industry worldwide, and so much more.

Never got to know this fella but he sounds like my kind of wheeler dealer: (***nytimes pay per view link removed 5/23/03) Colin de Land, a New York art dealer whose ambivalence about commercialism was reflected in an art gallery that sometimes resembled an anti-art gallery, if not a work of Conceptual Art, died on Sunday at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital. I have the portrait of Sylvia in my room. Her beauty is breath taking. So CUNT!!! I will never forget my first meeting with Dorian Corey at Sally's. It was truly a magic night. Giselle is such a great woman. I always respected her because she is a trans woman raising a son (Daniel) and always kept her nose clean and herself a respectable woman. The nights I revelled in Sally's are full of vivid memories of all out decadence and good old nasty fun!! I purchased the book CITY OF NIGHT today...

Unbelievable. Imagine being fired upon as you are trying to walk out. I have one question: were these health workers black? It reminds me of Daniel DeFoe's "A Journal of the Plague Year 1666" when the people trying to escape the plague were murdered by the outlying villagers who feared the disease. ------- Update a day later: 3 laboratory rats with the bubonic plague have escaped from their cage in Newark, New Jersey.

Our friend Daniel (aka Unempty) somehow got a hold of week 1 and got it to us as avi files... We watched the first episode last night... OMG. The images they flashed of Pete's lips after bad injections gave me nightmares. They showed his lips oooozeing this yellow stuff from three holes and then some pictures from the side that looked like a duck exposed to radiation and a zombie virus...Next came a series of images showing how they had to go in to cut his upper lip and then sew it back...

All of the posts here have been very comforting. I remember when I was the chef at MK. David Ilku and that crazy Rachel were always there and I was always giving Rachel dinner for free. David would always tell me about Dean's thing at the World in great detail. I met Dean in a recovery room. He was just the best. I would always try to stay sober but it never took with me either. Anyway Dean really could tell an excellent story. Always. This room was one of the funnest rooms around, on 4th...
