EVERY ARTIST INSURED (OBAMACARE FOR ARTISTS) RETURNS TO THE EAST VILLAGE This month the ACTORS FUND christens the brand new HOWL HAPPENING GALLERY space with a return of their OBAMACARE FOR ARTISTS workshops and the first of their East Village AFFORDABLE HOUSING seminars. Last year close to 100 of our artist and performance community obtained affordable or free health insurance after attending one of these seminars, co-hosted by HOWL HELP. HOWL! HELP will be announced on Monday July 27 at ST MARKS CHURCH, 11:30 AM - 1 PM. Representatives from HOWL! and the ACTORS FUND will speak, light refreshments served, and questions answered. I am one of the speakers and would love to see some of the Mboards community there..

This is a great development. Artists are so exploited, chewed up, practically enslaved and then reviled and dumped all at once. So to have an organization and service that actually does something materially and practically important with substantial support is like a kind of oasis of due tribute.
