EVERY ARTIST INSURED (OBAMACARE FOR ARTISTS) RETURNS TO THE EAST VILLAGE
This month the ACTORS FUND christens the brand new HOWL HAPPENING GALLERY space with a return of their OBAMACARE FOR ARTISTS workshops and the first of their East Village AFFORDABLE HOUSING seminars. Last year close to 100 of our artist and performance community obtained affordable or free health insurance after attending one of these seminars, co-hosted by HOWL HELP. The 2015 window to enroll is closing on February 15 - don't miss your chance!
EVERY ARTIST INSURED: NAVIGATING HEALTH CARE REFORM
This free workshop will help you understand the Affordable Care Act and provide you with clear guidance on what your options are. It’s an excellent opportunity for unbiased counseling on an important topic, and includes a Q&A session. RENATA MARINARO, Exchange Navigator and Eastern Region Health Services Director of THE ACTORS FUND, will answer questions such as:
What do the "Obamacare" plans cover?
What are the penalties if I don't have insurance?
My income is low – can I get a break on insurance premiums? (Answer: Yes!)
Who is eligible for free insurance?
How do I apply?
I don't like the plan I was on – how do I pick a new one?
I'm uninsured; where can I go for discounted care?
TUESDAY 1/13 6:30-8:30 PM AND SATURDAY 1/17 3-5 PM
