Re: Miss Understood's Hi from Thailand
Wow. I went to Pattaya to see the drag shows. We went to two, "Alcazar" and "Tiffany". While they were both dazzling, Tiffany, which started in the 70's, blew Alcazar out of the water! While the photos on their website look great, they don't begin to translate all the glitter and texture of the costumes, nor the kinetic grandeur of the sets... but go take a look around anyway: Tiffany Website On the "show preview" page, give it time to load and it becomes a little roll-over-the-photo...

I took a one day Thai cooking course. They actually cover a hell of a lot in one day! I'll soon be the green curry queen of NYC! So this guy I'm dating here in Chiang Mai, Wat, the one who had the circle jerks with the monks, he's really great to hang out with. I feel like a biker chick on the back of his motorcycle! He's entering graduate school to become a teacher. He's a bartender in a very odd location. At this three level flea market type place there is a weird long hallway on the side...

Re: Party Monster - Michael Alig
We met Walt on our second day of the shoot. He did this AMAZING pitch black "indian chief" look. He had a beautiful feather headdress that went halfway down his back. He painted up head to toe with black make-up (including his teeth) and had white and red warpaint bars. I'm positive that Ms. Manson would be doing something similar in her next video had he been there to witness it Hmmm... Manson does play into the whole bisexual/pansexual thing quite a bit... always alludes to getting high as...

Re: Jackie 60 FURTHER in London Sept. 20
I will say that the English are animals! Theiving magpies to be exact. They will mop ANYTHING that is not nailed down. Everytime I turned around there was a hand going through one of our bags or someone reaching over to steal Dirty Martini's feather fans from the DJ booth. (They did get one of her dresses). Then the hotel was kind enough to send over a really nice bottle of champaigne to the stage. But before we even got a chance to taste it some Theiving Limey Magpie had snuck up ON THE...

Proving the distance between west 14th Street and T Magazine is just a well earned reputation.............. ________________________________________________________________________ If anyone understands the allure of these garments — and their, if you will pardon the expression, historical underpinnings — it is Chi Chi Valenti, who was running around town in her underwear years before Courtney Love showed up on Oscar night in a vintage white satin slip and a tiara. Oh, his name was STEVE!

So I was just about to pop into the Associated Supermarket on 14th St (nr A) at 10am this morning when a huge hawk (or eagle???) swoops down fast and grabs a pigeon and takes it up into the tree. Me about about 3 other folks who were outside were just freaked watching this bird just kill... it was just raining feathers as the bird was being plucked as it was being eaten. I watched, stunned for a while went in an shopped came out to what looked like a sidewalk of an exploded feather pillow...

Had too much fun this trip - we still have about 36 hours left but wanted to file the report now while it is fresh. Have to say I love, love, love this town - when one is here, one is truly Elsewhere! Highlights this time: - We went out last weekend with Dale DeVere and Champain, who were coincidentally here on R&R for our first five days. Dale got a car and driver so we decided to go clubhopping, especially to check out some nooks and crannies in rather borderline nabes that we might...

Darla is sooooo controversial, and as you can see she has some detractors here on the boards. However, she has just as many fans, if not more. Darla is, as mutual friends have put it, the rarest of the rare. It is progress when there are so many more transgendered people about that one, in all of the thousands we have met and intercated with, should have extreme right-wing views. I disagree with Darla on just about everything, politically, yet she is one of my favorite Motherboarders to read...
