Empress Domination ·
oh honey, didn't mean to jump down your throat - you are certainly welcome to your opinion and certainly don't need to apologize for it. I guess I was just surprised, that's all. I guess another thing I really hate about Fla. is the overt racism. In South Beach every time Johnny went down to DJ he would be wined and dined and put up somewhere like the Delano (or in happier times, The Raleigh) - the star treatment, right? But then at least once on every visit he'd be stopped and asked for...

In case you missed it, yesterday's fire in the Con Ed facility affected tens of thousands residents and blacked out Lower Manhattan south of 14 Street and west of Fifth Avenue, snarling traffic and knocking out West Side subways for about 8 hours. Luckily power was restored just before sunset.

I'm still spinning from the 10,000 miles I must have traveled in the last 24 hours. So I thought I would try to express some of the strange visions in my head. After driving a van for 10 hours straight, through the desert, buzzing on double shots of espresso and listening to bad radio so as not to drive off the road and into the abyss of darkness, I finally arrived in LA at 3 am. Took a plane at 3 pm and now I'm back in NYC. I'm sure Goblin will have many posts soon, but I thought I would...

Mykonos is GORGEOUS. It's pre-season here, but still lovely. All white adobe houses with blue shutters and lots of winding pedestrian streets. I tried to buy my uncle a Cuban cigar but the shipments haven't arrived yet. We sat at a seaside cafe having fresh seafood and watched the sunset, so romantic and magical. I'd like to return during a warmer month.

Ok that's going to be annoying to have to rely on her for pics cause, well, she drinks a lot on tour. Is it because this account is new that I don't have the option to attach pics? ANy help is much appreciated... But I digress. KOLN- The night off in Koln we have the now traditional tour dinner where everyone on the tour gets together to wreak havoc on some poor unsuspecting restaurant. Due to the fact that our crew is mostly (all?) from the UK, copious amounts of beer are consumed and at...

Just got home from Mr.Casertano's photo exhibit. Beautiful. Lots of handsome men and a gorgeous sunset as a back drop. He is on his way to the success he deserves. They were gagging over the shot of Marti Domination but everything looked fabulous framed in white wooden frames and a recurring slide show on a large computer screen as well. Here he is side stage beaming with joy.

I agree with Merlin and S'tan in the sense that the money should have been used elsewhere for a good purpose, however after Mommy and I had a perfumed ciggerette, Daddy and I were forced to take her advice and we walked to the park just as the sunset was about to happen and all that vibrant saffron color mixed with bright white snow and black barren tree branches...Oooohhhh I must say... It was more than I expected. But back to reality. Let's see some of these rich artists donate the same...

Hollywood... I kick the empty Jack in the Box carton off the uneven sidewalk. Nobody walks the streets in this town. Passing the transient motel with its 50's motif and chipping paint i smell the stench of broken dreams on Sunset Blvd. Hollywood is unapologetic with its lure of bright lights, desparate with its fake promise of fame. Neon Lights flash "headshots", "photo re-touch" and "pawn shop" next to the predictable promise from the City of Angels - "Spiritual Healing". A location truck...

On the mag's resurrection site you can page through articles on advice how to be Foxy, gossip about all of Mick Jagger's groupies, fashion spreads of Cher's "Wild Rags" -amazing-, celebrity news: Karen Valentine is leaving Room 222, how to dress like a Rich Hippie Chick from Sunset Blvd., etc. Priceless.

Saturday the 7th was a beautiful day clear blue sky, cloudless. Di and I commented to each other that this was Exactly the same sky as on the 11th nearly one year ago. It doesn't seem too far off. Last year at almost the exact same time we were in a club in London called Vertigo. We watched the sunset from one of the highest buildings in London and commented to our friends about how we would love to take them to windows on the world. One year later. Fighter jets still fly over NYC and each...

I don't know if i could live there, but it is one of my very favorite places to visit. driving out Sunset through lush, tree lined, forbidding beverly hills, and bel aire out to pacific palisades...imagining the riches and fame behind every hedge...it's fantastical. overall though, the isolation is a major turn-off. very hard to feel connected there. and the posing does get tiresome. Also, major complaint: no one in LA dresses for ANYTHING. It's as if they think if there's no red carpet,...

LIKE: The Getty, for that so-far-out-of-human scale/American Royalty(Divinity?) boost.-No, really, only a dead gazillionaire could afford to put on tiny little, totally steep art shows in comparably intimate spaces, almost hands-on -although the Getty museum (citadel?) is technically outside the city limit. The downtown abandoned after 8PM. So reminiscent of the 80's in Anycity USA. Feeling like everyday is a russian roulette with an earthquake. Here is what the city is to me in one pill:...

Variety Magazine published an excerpt from famed screenwriter Joe Eszterhas's new bombshell tell-all memoirs about Hollywood. Quite a scathing portrait of L.A. and an ugly picture of Malibu too. When I think of Malibu I always see an incoherent Barbara Parkins in a Pucci caftan wallowing in the surf on dolls. Guess it's not really that fab.

Christopher - A few tips - Monday, Lundi Gras (feb. 23) is a huge Zulu festival along the Riverfront. Zulu is the krewe with the most legendary parade on Fat Tuesday. On Lundi Gras around sunset there is a great moment where the King of Rex comes over by boat and the mayor hands over control of the city to him for the remainder of Mardi Gras (till midnight Tuesday night.) Then the King and court of Zulu comes over and exchanges gifts with King Rex and his knights. Rex and his nights stay...
