Re: Occupy Wall Street
I most highly recommend everyone at least go down and take a walk through the park, even though with all the people and chaos that isn't too easy to do. It just FEELS really good. You will not regret your time there. Here is a direct link to a map of the park, including closest train stops (use the map zoom in for more detail ), since it is not a well known site to most:...

Re: Does Anyone Remember SCISSORS or VHKB at Plaid??
I couldn't possibly forget! Can you believe Garo's show on Sundance? I am a mix of inspired and proud! Also just saw Ms Nicks at the Fillmore, SF a few days ago. During Edge of Seventeen, during her stage walk, I got to hold her hand for a sec, and she looked right into my eyes and said "Thank You!" I have never seen her look more lovely or sound more flawless. That made me think of you, and the good old days. Love to Johnny and all of the magical nightlife luminaries!

Re: Hurricane Irene on the Motherboards NYC
Thanks for the report hatches - LOTS of tree damage in Union Square but all I saw so far were various sizes of branches - park is closed (and should be) so I couldn't get a good idea. This picture has been circulating on Twitter, it is West Broadway and Grand in Soho earlier this afternoon..

Re: Neighborhood Characters
Yeah that Naked Cowboy thing is repulsive. He's like the nightclub S_ _ _ sh. It's full of tourists from out of town thinking that they are seeing New York but it's really a room full of other tourists from out of town looking at each other thinking, "New York isn't so weird. It looks just like home".

The weather is looking good for Monday. Mostly sunny and the high around 81 degrees. Come on down and dance and dine.
