On Thursday, June 4th, THE ILLUSTRIOUS BLACKS (Manchild + Monstah) will bring their beloved event back to Brooklyn at brand new hotspot C'mon Everybody!!! Formerly known as ASTRO DISCO, the event dubbed as the intergelectrodiscosoul soiree is now titled ASTRO BEAT!!! Resident DJ MANCHILD will supply the afro futuristic sounds and the charismatic MONSTAH will be the ring leader of the nights proceedings.
For its opener, ASTRO BEAT will kick off the evening with a special performance by the electrifying band GIRLS LIKE BASS!!! GLB is Brooklyn's premiere sci-fi electro-funk collective led by Femme-Bot Lei-lani 756. Formed in 2010 with guitarist/vocalist Lizard and lead singer/dancer Monstah Black, Girls Like Bass has an abiding love of all things house, electro, funk and disco.
