As the French Ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris is everything his nation could be proud of: a DJ, producer, and remixer of the highest standard, and a stylish snake-hipped pin-up with French reserve. In a nutshell, there are two distinct sides to Dimitri: a undeniable elegant and, a devoted dance music fanatic.
In February 2005 the French government awarded him the very official rank of Knight of the Arts and Letters. Along with Air and Cassius he was the first artist from the Electronica field to be given such a distinction.
His musical influences are deeply rooted in 70s Funk and Disco sounds that spawned todays House music but also original soundtracks from 50's and 60's cult movies.
His radio show in the 80’s came to pioneer house music all over France, making him a cult figure with dance music connoisseurs.
Dimitri remixed hundreds of artistd as diverse BjÖrk, the Cardigans, James Brown, New Order, Quincy Jones, Teddy Pendergrass, Nile Rogers’ Chic, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes and Donny Hathaway. In 1997 he became world famous with the release of his first album "Sacrebleu" on Bob Sinclar's Yellow Productions label. In the late 90's Dimitri followed the album's success with several compilations including the cult "Deluxe House of Funk" and the infamous "A Night At The Playboy Mansion" (Virgin) lately charted again in Mixmag's top 100 of best compilations ever. A second artist album, "Cruising Attitude" was released in 2004 to be closely followed by his first outing on UK's premier dance music label Defected: "Dimitri from Paris In the House".
2005 saw Dimitri go back to his Funk and Disco roots, with fellow super collector Joey Negro for "Kings of Disco" (BBE). In 2006 he offered his "In the House of Love" outing to Valentine Day's lovers. Later on he produced Los Amigos Invisibles "Super Pop Venezuela" album which grabbed a nomination for a grammy award ! 2007 saw the release of the "Cocktail Disco” (BBE), 2008 marked the frenchman's "Return to the Playboy Mansion" (Defected) with a lush double CD of sex tinged grooves, and in 2009, Dimitri returned to his early DJ days with "NightDubbin'" (BBE) a fresh collection of 80's dubbed out dance classics with help from old mates The Idjut Boys. Dimitri then partnered with DJ Bob Sinclar on the "Knights Of The Playboy Mansion" compilation project with Defected, and then created "Back In The House" again with the ever growing Defected imprit. Over the course of his 15 year spanning discography our man from Paris has sold well over a million copies of his eclectic outings.

Deep Space, is an adventure into future dub, spacey vibes, and abstract grooves featuring resident DJ FranÇois K. live on the mixing board with special guests.
Since the party’s launch in 2003, Deep Space has featured a who’s who of well known and then emerging artists from around the world representing a stunning array of musical styles that Deep Space is known for integrating into its open minded aesthetic. While the mission of Deep Space remains committed to sharing a love of dub, a vast, under-appreciated musical direction, the party has invited a great range of guest artists to share their creative dub mixing approaches to all things spacey, psychedelic and mind-bending.
From dubstep pioneers such as Mala, Goth-Trad, and Digital Mystikz, to house, techno & disco icons such as Giorgio Moroder, Dimitri from Paris, Theo Parrish, Rhythm & Sound, Ron Trent, Carl Craig, Joe Claussell, Derrick May, to cutting edge producers and tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, Mr. Scruff, DJ Spooky and dub legends such as Adrian Sherwood with Pinch, Mad Professor, Mutabaruka and U-Roy, and Brazilian icons Otto with Carlinhos Brown and plenty of live musical and dance performers, Deep Space continues to be a magnet for attracting many of electronic dance music’s most innovative artists. Almost all of the guest artists who play at Deep Space create truly one-of-kind, crate-digging "Deep Space sets."
Deep Space has been presented abroad at the Big Chill Festival (UK), Plastic People (UK), TDK Cross Central Festival (UK), Space Lab Yellow (Japan), CafÉ Jamaica (Japan), Precious Hall (Japan), Phase (Japan), throughout France, in Berlin, Denmark, SONAR Festival in Barcelona and across the U.S. In 2010 Deep Space received a dedicated night at Burning Man’s Disorient camp. In 2004 Deep Space was nominated for “Best Club Night” by the internationally televised “DanceStar USA” awards. In 2005 & 2006 FranÇois K. won “Best Resident DJ Award” at the Club World Awards held in Miami. Deep Space was named “Best Party 2004” in Time Out New York. Deep Space was nominated for “Best Party,” at the Club World Awards 2006 and 2007. New York Magazine featured Deep Space in the “Best of New York 2006” issue. In 2013 Do Androids Dance lauded Deep Space as one of “The 10 Best Club Nights in the US.” Francois K. was named "Best Resident DJ" by the 2015 Nightclub Awards. In 2005 Deep Space NYC Vol. 1, a compilation mixed by FranÇois K., was released on Wave Music’s imprint Deep Space Media to critical acclaim.
