Oh... sending beams and love as well, my friends. London is dear to my heart.

Having spent a great deal of time on London during the IRA bombings of the '70s, I know that random terrorist attacks in public places like the Tube and on buses can be even more frightening and crippling than the destruction any skyscraper, no matter how tragically symbolic that event might have been. After all, a limited number of people utilized the WTC and its environs, but just about everyone takes the Tube.

I had been wondering this morning what was up when helicopter traffic over my house reached epic proportions. Though what possible good helicopter patrols would do against subway terrorism is beyond my imagination.

So terrible.. but again, nothing that us Brits are not used to with constant IRA attacks (i myself have lost 13 relations in total in Ireland.. an ya wonder why i don't have a 'religion' !)... but the Brits soldier on.. the ole stowic war spirit.. i do think that its allot in part to the media coverage.. sensationalist as we are in the press about people and celeb.. the terrorist coverage is very thought out... even the data on how many fatalities was NOT reported in the UK until these folks were identified... Drudge had plastered all over 40 dead! 40 dead! by 10amEST whereas on the BBC news they were only saying 7 confirmed dead at that time. Perhaps that also stops the mass hysteria!

I must say i find it quite funny this new ORANGE alert - the saying 'shutting the gate after the horse has bolted' comes to mind.. Its all fronting to show the American people that Bush is doing something.. but its all rather ineffectual really.
