Rising composer/performer Our Lady J returns to The Zipper Factory (336 West 37th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) with THE GOSPEL OF DOLLY, an inspiring evening focusing on Dolly Parton's most beloved music. THE GOSPEL OF DOLLY, featuring the Pink Champagne Orchestra and the 30-voice Train To Kill Gospel Choir, brings gospel music into the 21st century and also includes Our Lady J originals and newly crafted covers of the music of Nine Inch Nails, Alanis Morrisette and more. Join the Church of Our Lady J on Friday, December 14 at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.00.

Transgendered composer/performer Our Lady J, a.k.a. Jonnah Speidel, has worked in New York on the productions of Fame on 42nd Street and How To Save The World And Find True Love in 90 Minutes, as well as the national tours of The Music Man and Miss Saigon. She has also accompanied the NYC Gay Men's Chorus, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey and the Mark Morris Dance Group. As a composer, she scored Caucasian Chalk Circle for NYU's Steinhart School and the musical-in-progress, The Gift. She has also musical directed and performed with some of NYC's most colorful talents in such venues as Alice Tulley Hall, Carnegie Hall, Feinstein's at the Regency, Makor (92nd Street Y), Radio City Music Hall and Town Hall. THE GOSPEL OF DOLLY is Our Lady J's third concert at The Zipper Factory since her debut here in July.
