Reading the Constitution in the Lower East Side

The Living Room
154 Ludlow Street (Between Stanton & Rivington Streets) NYC

212-533-7237
Free Admission

Join us, as Election Day approaches, in a reading of what must easily be the most misunderstood document in our country-- The U.S. Constitution.

As the document is being read, there will be breaks for questions and comments as they happen in real time. Constitutional lawyers and scholars will be on hand to field questions and share insights.

Music will be performed by a roster of New York artists accompanying the reading. “Reading the Constitution in the Lower East Side” is free and open to the public, and the venue welcomes an all-ages crowd. Complimentary copies of the Constitution will be provided to all.

Musicians slated to perform an improvisational soundtrack for The Articles are: Amanda Thorpe, (Members Of) 3 Teens Kill 4, Goddess, John Sobel, Dave Mandl, Admiral Pork Brain, and Greenpoint Terminal Market.

3TK4 will be onstage at approximately 2 PM.

The roster of lawyers and scholars sharing their constitutional knowledge during the reading includes: Prof. Susan Herman, Melissa Goodman, Prof. Joseph Landau, Alexander Abdo, and Adam Davids.
