the closest experience - i'd say(& i'm going off of all the legendary talk we hear to this day about the Garage) - to being at the Paradise Garage would be The Shelter.

i use to hang at that club so much(this is before they moved to midtown)...
..i still have sweet memories of it.
few clubs have the unity & all-around understanding that patrons(particularly the regulars) had there.

from what i understand, it's pretty much - give or take a few - the same.
..especially with their Body & Soul nights.

...& look at the bitch NOW!
