I've wanted to start a topic for a while on Stevie's music and the songs themselves. I love to hear people's interpretations, the stories behind them, etc. and always enjoy conversations about the songs themselves as we shape each year's NOTS. This year in particular, the Songs of Rhiannon seem to be opening a floodgate!

I'll begin by sharing a link to my favorite new=about to be released Stevie song, from her December 2008 Soundstage, this cover.

The CD/digital comes out in mid-March, but this is a great version, hope it stays up for a while!

And thanks to Lizzie Davis (who will be performing it at NOTS this year) for witching it my way!

You are more then welcome...It sure did cast a spell on me Smile& I am beyond honored to be performing it... Thanks so much for posting this video of it. Most have been pulled from you tube...There are maybe two soundstage versions left of it there Frown Apparently there is some issue with copyright infringement or something to that effect...Are they outta there minds??? I mean it is Stevie Nicks for Goddess sakes...I hope it works out and that it will indeed be released next month...It is currently my favorite tooSmile..
As for songs Stevie has covered, hmmmm I do enjoy Rock N Roll... She seems to have a good time doing it & I think she refers to herself as a soulmate or kindered spiritof some kind to Mr. Plant? I remember hearing her say something like that but naturally have slept since then so dont quote me there...
Well, I am back to The Velvet Underground, were sometimes It Is Dirty, Oh So Dirty...
