I TOTALLY agree..
And would personally love to bring it back for one night when the pier (the one with the frying pan) reopens this summer. We did the love-in there for Tom Spanbauer last year and it was SO BROWN..
And welcome to The Boards you Absolute Ruler you..
Speaking of, anyone ever hear from Tina Brown these days? And did Brown Party ever get the chance to celebrate her? Think her whole PR blitzkrieg happened post Jackie, oui?
I never saw her again after our infamous shouting match at the New Yorker 100 year anniversary party.
Where I called her "DJ Death".
It got very ugly.

I've been emailing back and forth with Jackie Legend Mo B. Dick who lives in L.A. now.
She wrote this very funny memory and said that I could post it for her.

quote:I truly miss all those wonderful daze at Mother - what an incredible time in my life. My most cherished moment in all th 11 years I was in NYC was at Jackie 60 awards show when I was backstage wearing 1/2 man 1/2 woman outfit talking to John Paul Jones while Chi Chi was smoking a joint, Flowrider was naked under a trench coat jerking off so he could streak across th stage, Hatty in drag sipping a coke, Johnny Tingle & gal pal getting into character as Sid & Nancy and you were playing this hypnotic music that lent a most trippy effect to this incredibly surreal moment. Life has never been th same since then - thank you !
much love & respect
Mo
Mo was the Murray of her day.
Mo was and is so much more than Murray. Though I adore Murray too. But Mo...Oh boy!!!
I'm so jealous to have missed this party after reading all the wonderful themes.
Just found this in my archives. From the grand opening of the stage-enlarged Mother. It was Busby Berkley themed with "Gold Diggers of 1996". In photo are Twinkle, Lulu, Ingrid, the late great Shecky, Marti Domination and Flloyd!
