Seems the wind action here on the Westside was minimal; I have seen many pics of broken trees in the EV and Tompkins Square Park. Now the issue of flooding and tidal surges remains for this neighborhood. I look out the window and see joggers. Nothing will stop them, apparently. I'm still spinning from the 10,000 miles I must have traveled in the last 24 hours. So I thought I would try to express some of the strange visions in my head. No! A dancefloor is everybody's always!!! And I did love watching it--you two running off!! You couldn't pay people to look so jarred!! And the faux pas is mine. The theory was to make an interactive imprmptu video. The problem (well technically there were several glitches) but the biggest being -- the music is not yet appropriate for the dance floor, perhaps even to ears. If it was, people wouldn't have been so confused. But I got through it and had to laugh myself at the mockery I made.

I was visitng the NYTimes obit section for the first time in many months and discovered Daphne Helman, had passed away this summer very close to if not on Warhol's birthday.) From what I've seen and read, the damage is pretty bad. (Guess Lasher and St. Jude were off-duty) The storm actually took pieces off the roof of the Superdome. Some 10,000 people are inside with no electricity and water leaks galore. Whole neighborhoods flooded to the rooftops. Beams to NOLA.
