Has anyone seen the new French & Saunders?
Lord Of The Rings. Dawn French is The hobbit "Dodo" and Jennifer Saunders is The Wizzard (something like Gandolf, I forget). It's hysterical!

I can truly say if I ever got to spend a day with the Saunders/Lumley and French team, I would dumb with excitement and spend the entire time grinning like an idiot.

So, went to the BBC and viewed the new AbFab episode. here is the review.....

First and most important(wink, wink;})...I'm in it. Our scene was cut to bits and only about 1/4 of it remains (don't blink),but that was to be expected. I still have one line and I give a little attitude! As for the rest...its all about the Strand Bookstore scene if you ask me, so hilarious. there is also a great moment with Woopie Goldberg and the Lure scene is funny too. Debbie looks amazing and the entire episode is drenched with Blondie songs, she even sings the "Wheels on Fire" theme.

I won't tell any of the gags/jokes but all of us fell on the floor with laughter a few times.

it will air on Comedy Central in Feb.

***we also got to see parts of the French and Saunders Christmas special. there is a bit about Madonna that is insanely funny. Chi , I thought of you!!!!they just rip her to shreds!

Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders in a film? Yes, the comedy duo are planning a move to the big screen. They hope to use a whole host of their TV characters in a movie caper.

Haaaaah! so you've seen it. that is by far the best scene (Strand Bookstore) . It's the reason to have the special.

They (Jennifer and Joanna) had a lot to say. Jennifer is totally brillant. It was amazing to see her work, her brain never stops. The greatest thing is how down to earth she is. I can't say enough about her. And what is there to say about Joanna except , "Wow!". I just sat and listened to her talk about her younger "modeling" days. (in full Patsy drag) ...enough said.

I just finished her autobiography. Now knowing her story a little I can see how important she is in the whole Ab Fab mix.

glamnerd, that's really cool! Um, where did you hear this rumor about episodes? All the AB FAB fans are really wondering since we wish Jen would do more in the future.

Thanks again for posting the great pix and we'll all be looking for ya in the special when it airs here in the US on Comedy Central this February!

Oh, Glammy, you make me positively green with a severe case of envy. I'm not one for admiration, much less adoration, but you've hit my weak spot with the Ladies of AB FAB. trebla- just a rumor no fact in it. ya know like when it was rumored that Rosanne was producing the American version. but that never happened. keep your fingers crossed though.ya never know.

Betty , trust me I know how you feel. If anyone ever asked me what TV show I would give anything to be on I would have said Absolutely Fabulous in the blink of an eye! now all I need is to have a cameo in a David Lynch movie and I could die happy.

You told us what joanna had to say (bout the modeling) but what did jennifer have to say? what was she saying? wt was she like?
was she tiny? lol i have heard people say they have met them and joanna was quite tall and jennifer was tiny.

Lol what did jennifer have to say? you told us what joanna was saying (modelling carrer and all) did you get to talk to them for long? did you see any outtakes? people who have met them before say how nice they are but how tall joanna is and how small jennifer is? is that right? what did jennifer have to say? or was she shy lol as she seems to come across that way?
