So, went to the BBC and viewed the new AbFab episode. here is the review.....

First and most important(wink, wink;})...I'm in it. Our scene was cut to bits and only about 1/4 of it remains (don't blink),but that was to be expected. I still have one line and I give a little attitude! As for the rest...its all about the Strand Bookstore scene if you ask me, so hilarious. there is also a great moment with Woopie Goldberg and the Lure scene is funny too. Debbie looks amazing and the entire episode is drenched with Blondie songs, she even sings the "Wheels on Fire" theme.

I won't tell any of the gags/jokes but all of us fell on the floor with laughter a few times.

it will air on Comedy Central in Feb.

***we also got to see parts of the French and Saunders Christmas special. there is a bit about Madonna that is insanely funny. Chi , I thought of you!!!!they just rip her to shreds!

well til' Feb.....

Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders in a film? Yes, the comedy duo are planning a move to the big screen. They hope to use a whole host of their TV characters in a movie caper.

Great news!! I can't wait for this one!
Glamnerd...
Jackie Bigalow...
I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

-but look how sweet Jackie Bigalow looks in the bottom shot (Fishstick on the right). Hard to believe just hours earlier she was probably swingin' in a sling somewhere!

Haaaaah! so you've seen it. that is by far the best scene (Strand Bookstore) . It's the reason to have the special.

They (Jennifer and Joanna) had a lot to say. Jennifer is totally brillant. It was amazing to see her work, her brain never stops. The greatest thing is how down to earth she is. I can't say enough about her. And what is there to say about Joanna except , "Wow!". I just sat and listened to her talk about her younger "modeling" days. (in full Patsy drag) ...enough said.
glamnerd, that's really cool! Um, where did you hear this rumor about episodes? All the AB FAB fans are really wondering since we wish Jen would do more in the future.

Thanks again for posting the great pix and we'll all be looking for ya in the special when it airs here in the US on Comedy Central this February!
Oh, Glammy, you make me positively green with a severe case of envy. I'm not one for admiration, much less adoration, but you've hit my weak spot with the Ladies of AB FAB. As I refuse to be star-struck in this E! Entertainment world, know that I am alternately pursing my mouth and sighing each and every time you spill the beans. More, please!
trebla- just a rumor no fact in it. ya know like when it was rumored that Rosanne was producing the American version. but that never happened. keep your fingers crossed though.ya never know.

Betty , trust me I know how you feel. If anyone ever asked me what TV show I would give anything to be on I would have said Absolutely Fabulous in the blink of an eye! now all I need is to have a cameo in a David Lynch movie and I could die happy.

Serge "im serge im your son"
eddy "he's a book?"
I have to admit, It was a dream come true for me when You guys picked me up in that limo. It was so "Left! Harvey Nicks"! And I asked Jennifer do her famous Joan Collins imitation... "We are those Lucky Bitches". She just snapped into it in one second. She was Joan Collins. Amazing. And to say she was nice is an understatment. We were Lucky Bitches!

"I want Modern yes, but not what Modern was, Post Modern. And not was Modern is, just sort of new. I want what Modern will be."

Sorry,
Just clearing a blockage.
Is that quote right ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Postmodern is not like it's preceding art eras, think of it in terms of Renaissance. We may well be Postmodern for the next 325 years, and it will be different every month as new media and technology emerge and redefine art and the economy of art as well as in tandom with redefined/ing social "cast/class" levels.

Take a gander at some of the books I shall continue to be tossing Chi Chi's way and I'll get back to the crayons. Absolutely Fascinating! ... Love to see the AB Fab show redone with ... new media ...
Tonya,
Don't you get it? That quote is Post Modern Art! (Don't make me have to come out to Brooklyn and explain it to you 'cause I will! Wink) Read it again. No, first smoke a joint then read it again. It's brilliant sweetie. It's art.
It is fabulous.
A little Roll Eyes Cool Roll Eyes I seem to get that feisty-testosterone driven feeling occasionally. (Probably because the original old man was such a nut, the witty-est one-liners, only came out when he would get rearry bitchy!) perhaps I should tool around the ab fab sites, seems something is beckoning my attention somewhere between the Post Modern art and the Virtual Ab Fab worlds. [[I think packing is getting to me ... to throw it out or not is becoming an uncomprehendable labyrinth of boxes filled to the epitome of trendy American consumerism.]]

Lol sorry!

So was it planned that you were in the special?
if you don't minde me asking did you get payed for it? are you an actor then? im a commedienne.

Serge "im serge im your son"
eddy "he's a book?"
No he's not an actor! HE JUST GOT LUCKY!!!!!! (and yes, I'm bitter). OK, he's a very talented graphic designer, art director, video artist, well OK, artist in general. I'll give him that. But basically he's just a big Ham! A few years ago at Jackie 60 we cast him as Kurt Cobain in a Jackie's Playhouse production. He surprised the world with his dancing ability and his basic hambone personality. OK, he brought down the house but that's neither here nor there. Until then nobody thought of Rob as a performer. Well, after that his stage career took off. He hooked up with Jackie Bigalow and they became The Fishsticks. The rest is herstory. By the way... did I mention that I was bitter?
Yes, Daddy, please take my place! This is the out I've been waiting for!

My therapist and my agent have been saying for a while now that Deb and Glammy are just dead weight, and I should drop 'em. Well, I'm taking their advice.

Look out, Hollywood! Jackie Bigalow's going solo!

(BTW, can I borrow a dollar?)

Pack the pills and booze, darlings! Patsy joins Eddy as she searches the glamorous streets of New York for her long-lost son Serge.

Pills and booze are ready sweetie!!! Can't wait to see you in the show!!!! And my life is good for a while, I have the new series to look forward to!!! Big Grin
After a slow start, the new episode was off and flying once they actually hit NY. Loved Serge's boyfriend AND the Whoopi gay marriage bit lots - and good to see them in new situations with new jokes.

And it goes without saying that it was thrilling to see Debbie, glammie and Jackie Bigalow, even if it was brief, AND to hear Deb's "Wheels of Fire" as well as the all-Blondie soundtrack..Even "Presence, Dear", my all time favorite!!

And I adored Jennifer actually daring to make a 9/11 joke in the beginning...Especially after sharing that weird-but-magical night with her in October 2001 NY...

Fabulous, sweetie!
they have been showing that episode on some airline because 2 different people have come up to me and said they freaked out on a flight when they saw me come up on the screen. It must be British Airways or something.

but I agree Daddy BF is the greatest charecter.

" I need pecs!"
The new series of AbFab is off and rolling with 2 recordings complete. Epi one (Cleanin) and epi 2 (Clubbin). There are quiet a few surprises in this new series!! I won't tell you what they are! Don't want to spoil it for anybody! This is gonna be one of Jen's best!!! She is still the queen of comedy!!! Wink
I can't wait to see where they go with AbFab after seeing the New York episode. That episode goes WAY up there on my favorites list. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time. My favorite parts had to be the ones with Whoopi Goldberg..."crazy ass white people!" Smile
I am suprised no one has mentioned the new season yet. It is hysterical - they are right back on track again. Funny, sharp and acerbic writing - the thing Ms. Saunders does best. Outlandish celebrity guest stars. I love "Titticaca Two-ways" getting a restraing order from Baby Spice or Patsy "working" in the shop, Jeremy (it's a lifestyle, a concept...
Can't wait to see Saffy's labour and new baby - because mixed-raced babies are the fashion accessories of the season, sweetie! They are the Chanel of babies.
