A futurist night like Click + Drag is interested in all manner of
modernist movements, and tonight Click examines one of the
prettiest and most hard-edged - the 20th century explosion of
British Pop. This revolution (which began in the fifties with
artists like RICHARD HAMILTON) went on to infuse the fashion and
arts to a degree that made Britain the center of youth culture
worldwide by the mid-Sixties. It also produced some of the most
memorable futurist fashion statements ever, from the Space Age
couture of PACO RABANNE (metal dresses and helmets, plastic disk
necklaces and chainmail) to PIERRE CARDIN's unisex jumpsuits and
space travel themes.

The night is named for THIS IS TOMORROW, a 1956 exhibition
organized by Hamilton and the Independent Group, which helped put
this work on the map. NY futurist pin-up THEO performs music of
the future with cyberdelic dancers VIVA AND JAIKO and the
extremely visual themes are explored in video imagery by ROB
ROTH. Sixties-era chainmail is reimagined in fashion
installations by chainmail design house BLAZE NEW YORK. DJs SAMMY
JO and LOAD REZENHAND spin space-age throbbing breakbeat,
synthpop and electropunk.

As Click + Drag presents this ninth monthly "experiment", we'd
like to thank our audience for responding so well to our new
venue and our vision of larger-scale monthly editions. We promise
you lots more of the truly new on second Thursdays to come.

Wear plastic, mod, chainmail, 1964 meets 2001 (Paco Rabanne,
Pierre Cardin,) space travel looks, cyberslut, fetish, gothic,
post-apocolyptic, sexy robot, glam nerd, leather, vinyl, rubber,
genderhacking, imaginative head-to-toe black or full period
costume.

Absolutely no mundane clothing, business suits, athletic wear, or
fur, ever.

With the recent death of JOEY RAMONE soon after the 25th birthday of
PUNK, the ragged, homegrown sensibility has been in the
air more than usual these days, which is always a good thing,
even when caused by a very sad event. Click + Drag co-conspirators
KITTY BOOTS and ROB ROTH were also touched by this floodwave of
Zeitgeist, but chose to interpret it in the punkiest of fetishes,
rope bondage. Asked to produce a cover for BOUND AND GAGGED
MAGAZINE, the "Bible of Rope Bondage", the pair invented brightly
colored rope bondage clothing and poses that re-energize
seventies punk cliches like the Union Jack motif.

Examples of this bondage punk revival will abound on "punk go-go
slaves" all night including covermodel JORGE SIR MEXALOT, and the
Drum and Fetish performance by SNAPDRAGON (drummer for the
fabulous ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS) will provide a blast of hard
electronic DIY to rattle the safety pins and spikes. DJs LOAD
REZENHAND and SAMMY JO also promise "jackin'dark-core-
intergalactic-elektro-freqbeats" with a touch of POLY STYRENE and
JOEY, of course!

Strict Dress Code: NY Punk vs. London Punk, rope, safety pins,
Union Jacks, Ramones Tshirts and tonight only -shredded jeans!
Also cyberslut, fetish, gothic, post-apocolyptic, sexy robot,
glam nerd, leather, vinyl, rubber, genderhacking, imaginative
head-to-toe black or full period costume.

Absolutely no mundane clothing, business suits, athletic wear, or

I know I always say that but last night was amazing! I finally got my old friend Angel (I don't mean my "old" friend Angel, and I don't mean my old "friend" Angel) I mean my friend Angel from "back in the day" to come to Click. I have been telling him for years about how great the energy and music were and how fantastic the people looked. Last night he was totally blown away. He said he didn't think there was anything left in New York like this anymore. It reminded him of all the clubs of our youth (not that long ago by the way, no matter what Nancy Isla might say). He got so turned on by the crowd (and the Radical Faeries' bondage/spanking shows) he hopped on his motercycle and took off into the night to get into trouble. Now that's a good party!
Just to add my special memories of the night-everyone was so dressed up for the theme- and of course i get to see all the outfits on their way in.
stand out moments were-

the guy with the 3ft by 4ft placard which said "trannies for the ramones"-who was po-going with it

SCOTT EWALT'S t shirt -"blondie is a band"

ROSE'S home-made union jack dress with bustle

CHRIS FLAM'S t shirt- "fuck art lets kill"

ALDO'S t shirt-"no fun"

the cute new boy in the wahol "bananna" t-shirt

DEBBIE looking gorgeous in a long white frock

Z from the radical faries asking if i would style his arsehole-i guess my styling career has really taken off!!!

and finally our invite cover boy JORGE SIR MEXALOT'S spread in BOUND AND GAGGED magazine-which people were grabbing 2 or 3 copies of.

Thanks to everyone who made it such a great nite!

During the past weeks, while recovering from my injury, I have become a very skilled channel surfer, though usually at night- and one of the many channels I have peeked at is the Discovery channel (though it rarely holds my attention- dinosaurs, mummies, the titanic...yawn). However, the other night, they had a rather fascinating documentary on the physiology of beauty (survival of the prettiest). Then it occurred to me- whatever happened to the piece that was filmed at Click last year? I believe the focus was nightlife, fetishists, freaks, along those lines. Many of the Click regulars were interviewed, and I recall being very succinct and frank about being a gender anomaly, the tranny chase, and the men who fancy us "special" girls, all the while cocktail and cigarette in hand.

I did a search on their website and nothing came up under nightlife, nightclubs, click & drag, or even NYC...
Well, I remember that too, but of course these things are always a gamble. My prediction (since I have worked on MANY promo's for the Discovery channel) is that the subject matter was too much for them, the idea always sounds interesting on paper, but then when they see the footage the "powers" that be freak out. But I will try to look into it and see what happened. I think you would be a perfect subject on the Discovery channel Randella. If I was a bitchy queen I would allude to some old dinosaur reference, but alas I'm just a nice clean-cut boy.

By the way, I saw an incredible show on the pyramids. I cant remember if it was the Learning Channel or Discovery or History etc. However it was really mind blowing. Check it out if you have a chance.
I will look for the show on the pyramids, and I am not a bitchy queen either (a bit catty at times, but not really bitchy)- because if we're talking pyramids- Rob, both you and I were not around for the building of them, but I am sure certain names do come to mind that were around as witnesses to those marvels of creation so many centuries ago...Joey Arias, perhaps? Daddy, any comment?
And Hattie,
Remember the Babylonians? How tacky! They ruined everything. I mean the Sumerians were cool but Babylonians... please!
Things have never really been the same since the Jews left. You just can't get good slaves anymore. I mean the Greeks are ok, very clean, but the Jews were great. I hear that there are lots of them on Long Island. Does anyone know?
I don't remember the Babylonians or Sumerians -my memory only goes back to the 1980s-hence the next click!

The Click + Drag dynamic duo of ROB ROTH and KITTY BOOTS take
their inspiration this month from Malcolm McLaren's 1992 dance
hit and the style cult that it shaped, as dreamed to life by
VIVIENNE WESTWOOD at WORLD'S END. The shake-it-up mix of South
Bronx scratching and traditional square dance sounds ultra-right
again, just as MacLaren's hybrid melting pots of culture
foreshadowed the digital "borrowing" of this age. In Click's
re-inventive way, Westwood's iconic BUFFALO GIRL becomes a
BUFFALO BOY (who is actually a 21st century androgynous blend of
both, in the manner of visage star ROBIE, the invite covermodel
who presents his ELECTRO CABARET tonight.)

The sylist BOOTS, a gifted blender of periods and ideas in a
free-associative way, also pays homage to the cartoonish side of
BUFFALO by referencing the exaggerations of late-Eighties Club
Kid style - lunchpails, mixed-up hip-hop and everlast references,
sky-high platforms. This particular mix - World's End and Club
Kid, was influential in the twin NY and London scenes that fueled
and inspired BOOTS when she first emerged here. Club Kid eminence
and 2001 clubmaker LARRY TEE will perform with BADD INC. at 1:00
A.M. along with the lovely TOBELL VON CARTIER and IVE. Expect
some Buffalo in the soundtrack courtesy of DJs LOAD REZENHAND,
SAMMY JO and KATYA CASIO.

Strict Dress Code: World's End, club kid glamour, Buffalo Girl

imaginative head-to-toe black or full period costume.

Absolutely no mundane clothing, business suits, athletic wear, or
fur, ever.
I WILL BE BACKING MY BIKE INTO THE DOOR (YELLING WHITE TRASH) AT FUN-After i will claim my breaks did not work!
Just a quick update on tomorrow- i have finally found the Malcolm McClaren "DUCK ROCK" video-we will be screening it all night on the four big screens-it features the "BUFFALO GALS" song.

Hope to see you there Kitty
So there I was upstairs at Click, and this really beautiful boy wearing a skirt starts talking to me like he knows me. Well, I don't recognize him at all, but I know that voice!!! And it's a really beautiful voice, too.

Well, this gorgeous being tries to convince me that he's Sammy Jo, and just got a haircut (right) the usual alien abduction he'll be fine we're just borowing his voice and everything will be fine in the morning sort of thing. I've seen it before.

Anyway, I like the work they do. Send more!!!
Props to our Samantha Jo for pulling out Tracey Thorn and spinning it at the Buffalo Gals-themed
Click. Everything But the Girl is one of my favorite bands, and I so RARELY hear them played out! Sammy Jo deserves a sweet pinch in the booty for that bit of grandstanding .. perhaps I'll give him one on Sunday at Cheez Whiz (with Justin looking on approvingly no doubt).
Well my night was saved by the fabulous Yolanda and her cutie pie friend Cypher. Miss Yolanda gave Kitty and I a ride home in her beat up old car, was it a pinto? I can?t remember but I know one of the windows was made out of tape. We all hopped in with our bags and heals and wigs etc. and off we went until we started running out of gas (petrol, as Kitty calls it). Emergency stop in Gasateria on Housten. Just watching the leopard clad Yolanda get out of the car and swing her enormous breasts around to open the gas tank while the attendants eyes bugged out to an unbelievable size made me feel like I was 16 again . Thanks Yolanda!!! And thank you to panty diaper also for making the evening just that much more absurd........

A hectic spring/summer schedule rife with snafu has prevented me from attending the last few Clicks, and I have missed it, from assembling theme-based outfits to mingling with all the creative, wonderful nightcrawlers that make this party as great as it has been. The good new is that I plan a triumphant return for the August clone edition. See you all there.
I know chi chi won't want a big fuss but rob and myself are celebrating her birthday at midnite aug 9th, hope you all can come!! Please bring your clone?!

This month, Click celebrates the birthday of contributing editrix and co-founder EMPRESS CHI CHI VALENTI with a celebration of Human Cloning - a passion of hers of late. Always the ardent
futurist, Valenti's certainly not alone: Many animal cloners and experts are certain that a human has already been cloned in secret somewhere in the world, while believers by the hundreds
are already readying their skin patches for storage, following the advice of New York City's own HUMAN CLONING FOUNDATION. Can the real thing (once removed) be far behind?

While we wait, at Click + Drag's celebration, in an unlimited futureworld of duplicates, replicants, clones and copies, future-fetishwear god GARO SPARO presents "Glamour Times Two", a
cloning-inspired fashion show, at 1 A.M. Genetically altered beauty AMANDA LEPORE will sing Happy Birthday to the Empress , while go-go Metal Twins preen in costumes by Click discovery KIRSTINE (a new metalwear couturier.)

DJs LOAD REZENHAND and SAMMY JO will spin "jackin'dark-core- intergalactic-elektro-freqbeats" as ROB ROTH's endless editions
of covermodel LEPORE play on into infinity on the multiple video screens that give the night its visual signature.

Strict Dress Code: Your DNA, test tubes, lab coats, adult baby, twins, cyberslut, fetish, gothic, post-apocolyptic, sexy robot,
glam nerd, leather, vinyl, rubber, genderhacking, imaginative head-to-toe black or full period costume.

This is all too perfect! of course it would be announced this week , mabey we should invite Panos Zavos and Severino Antinori to Click . They could hold a forum on the subject. I'm sure most of the click audience would be happy to volunteer! I'm not sure who I would like to see cloned though. Hummmm... I imagine Madonna would be the first on line...she could continue her career for the next few centuries. oh god what a thought.
Who knew Chi Chi would be so on target with her cloning theme!!Or maybe George Lucas was at the last click in drag.I don't think the new star wars has Ewan McGregor in it =-so who cares?

E! Online news
"Star Wars" Episode II Gets a Name

Well, it could've been worse--like, say, Episode II--Attack of the 50-Foot Jar Jar.
Instead, Lucasfilm has announced that the next installment in director George Lucas' sci-fi saga will be titled (drum roll, please) Star Wars: Episode II--Attack of the Clones.
Oh, and if anyone's interested, yours truly is modeling in Garo Sparo's show at tonight's Click. At least I won't have to buy a new gown to wear, which is just as well .... my gold card is maxed.
I even got those Italian scientists on the news to clone me for this event. Now the question is what will I do with him after the show?
Let's hear it for radical faerie birthday cake...mmm, yummy! Two Flawless Sabrina clones plus the original, eye-popping Garo fashions, Rose serving full Chi Chi effect, Sammyjo playing both Opus III It's a Fine Day and B-52s circa summer 1987, and lots of special cigarettes in the air. And I loved Brandon's Love is a Battlefield ensemble. Aren't summer birthday parties fun? Happy birthay, Empress!

And the most interesting of visages happened later in the night while Chi Chi and I were chatting. This young couple sat next to her on the banquette, a multi-pierced pretty boy in kilt & beret and his mohawked/mulletted tattooed very boyish girlfriend started what seemed like dry humping for several moments oblivious of us (or was it a purposeful display?), and then briefly to us spoke in some accent (italian or french, we never did figure out), but it was a certainly on a little side show...

And maybe I will keep that cane, since I was told it looked rather ghetto fabulous...
George Lucas should have come to click last night. He would have found much inspiration for the next Star Wars installment. Clones everywhere. One of those magic nights where you feel like your on another planet! Thanks to Chandler (Fire Boy) for baking the "special" birthday cake!(only a true friend would bake on the hottest day of the year!)Genocide with her baby, Sabrina's (three of them) for the lovely serenade, and of course Garo Sparo, amazing show! It made me so happy. Watch the Clicknyc.com site for jpg postings in the near future..Long Live the Empress!
Thank you to everyone for making my 47th mortal birthday so very special, but especially Rob and Kitty for the attention to detail. The Radical Faerie cake with mini embryos and clonebabies was a stroke of genius - not to mention the very special extra ingredient.

I know it was 105 degrees yesterday which made everything - including the art of makeup-so much more difficult, and really appreciated the devotion to drag and appearances by so many special friends.

The last highlight, as Randella and I sat enjoying the trip towards last call, was the appearance of Mudd Club/ Studio/ Jane-West legend and fellow Leo, Francesca. We hadn't seen each other in fifteen years, easily. (Mudd readers - the Francesca who was one of Luna's girls, in the trinity of Francesca, Fedora and La Mosquita =Blonde Nicole.)

Desmond had run into her at Bugsy's joint and brought her over to Click. He had one of the evening's great lines, to her "The last time I saw you you were passed out on the stairs of AM/PM in a ballgown, in a total couture pose with your train trailing perfectly.."

And THAT, my dears, is the essence of the lioness, whether born or reborn female...
First of all again, heartfelt conratulations to the Empress who without fail has always enabled me to feel confident, validated and warm inside. The night was exquisite, a heterogeneous
cluster of splendor, talent, and super glam. Very appetizing indeed!
As always Empress,
Thank You,

Sabrina
Hey, Get off of my computer! Don't you be gettin' viruses or red worms all over it. And wait till you see the second roll!
What a great party. I should have had some cake though. Everyone seems to have enjoyed it so much. I'll have to get that recipe.
How's Whitney? Did she pee in the bathtub? She learned that trick from Messy Bonnie Raitt.
Heres info on next click-please let me know of your plushy experiences-i remember Kim Dominations yorkie had a major plushy habit!!!

CLICK + DRAG, the weekly-turned-monthly now resident at Chinatown's FUN, celebrates five years of inventive, futurist nightlife created since their opening in September 1996 at
MOTHER. For this anniversary bash, co-producers KITTY BOOTS and ROB ROTH are creating a funny, furry festival simply called PLUSHIES - dedicated to plushy-strokers everywhere. The "Furry,
Furvert and Fursuit" crowd defined in KATHERINE GATES' opus "Deviant Desires" should be out in full force, on this night when the dresscode adds "Furvert Fetish, Paws, Beanie Babies, Tiger
Tails and Bunny Ears" to the visual mix. The penchant for plushy-sex and animal suits is one of the fastest-growing niche fetishes in the world right now (especially after being
documented in the decidedly vanilla Vanity Fair.)

To make this anniversary even more spectacular there'll be a performance by LE TIGRE at 1:00 A.M. The Giuliani-bashing, art-attack band has been played in heavy rotation on the Click +
Drag soundtrack of late, and features former Bikini Kill singer-guitarist Kathleen Hanna, artist Johanna Fateman and videomaker Sadie Benning. There's also a "Sexiest Plushy Outfit"
competition sponsored by TONY & TINA during the night, and plushy go-go with a special appearance by the much-loved KINKY TINKY WINKY. DJs LOAD REZENHAND and SAMMY JO will spin "jackin'dark-core- intergalactic-elektro-freqbeats" for this mostspecial edition, and feeding the animals will be most definitely encouraged.

Strict Dress Code: Furvert Fetish, Paws, Beanie Babies, Tiger Tails, Bunny Ears, cyberslut, fetish, gothic, post-apocolyptic,sexy robot, glam nerd, leather, vinyl, rubber, genderhacking,
imaginative head-to-toe black or full period costume.

Daddy came to his thirtieth consecutive career only as a means to have even one more job to do during the night. Just a normal day in the life of Dynell involves creating, set designing, djing and producing the same night as well as photographing it either in stills or now DV.

Daddy considers a night when he is ONLY doing one job - like taking pics at my birthday or DJing at someone else's night a night off - that's how twisted his perspective is.

And in case you think this has only happened recently, I have the hundreds of pictures that he took while DJing at Area to prove he's been burning his candle at both ends for almost two decades now.
My, my, Ms, Kitty, *fans herself with her blood-red Kung Fu fan* that was SOME website! Nothing like naughty, pigtail-wearing girls and their teddies...Y-u-m! Would that I could have gone to the last Click installment to salute the Most Divine Chi-Chi in person. I visit Gotham once a month, but I arrive early Fri. a.m., making it impossible for me to attend your colorful soirees. I am especially gritting my fangs (the pain can be quite delicious...) for having to miss the upcoming "plushies" event, as I made a tiger fur bikini top, matching ears and mini-skirt looong ago as one of my first DivaWear items.

I truly enjoyed making your delightful acquaintance last December, when attending my one and only 'Click (you complimented me on printing the event invite on nice, glossy cardstock) event.

Won't you come out to 'Justine for a drink sometime? 'Though I skipped the city in Sept., I shall be resurfacing sometime in early October to host a Vice n Virtue event--drop me an e-mail and let's chat! Keep up the perverse fun!

Mistress Diva
The 9/13 addition of Click + Drag will be postponed until further notice. There is no access to chinatown and we have no idea how long this will continue. Le Tigre will try to reschedual with us a few weeks from today. Look at clicknyc.com for details. Please send this information to others.

Thanks , I look forward to seeing everyone when we find a date. Take care and I hope all our click family is safe and well!

Well, last night I got all dressed, in themage too, and made my way over to FUN for Click. Except it was all closed up- my mind whirled, and I asked the cab driver the rhetorical question- "where do I go now?" After a moment or two, I decided that this a msg that I shouldn't be out last night drinking and dancing. Then I just started laughing outloud to myself, as I realized the date, and that Click is next week. Where was my head? Oh well, at least I know what I am going to wear next week...
I hate to be the one to expose the truth here, but *true* teabagging is a wretched thing to do to someone who has made the misfortune, (usually at camp, in jail, or in the armed forces), of falling asleep with thier mouth open.

Yes, then you dip your teabag in the cup, as mentioned, and some helpful wag makes good with a camera, documenting the affair for future generations.

It's good for yukks and blackmail. I've never been so traumatized as when I woke up from a dream of eating bon bons with a mouthful of my army buddy's manhood. Screwed me up for life, it did.

Not that any of this has anything to do with Click and Drag, of course...

I second that emotion, Darla! It was very much a family gathering. I saw many I hadn't seen in months. Enjoyed the Baroness's "Michelin Man" inflatable latex straightjackets as well!
But the sight of about six hard trannies I didn't recognize lined up at the bar at the very end was one I wouldn't have missed for anything.
As was SammyJo's late night latex peel-off...
PS: Where WAS Poison Eve? I guess her "date" was a success!

Eve, you and I both should have done Click that night. But who would've known?

I went to Exit that night to catch Peaches and Fischer-Spooner as part of Larry Tee's ElectroClash Festival. It looked promising, but Peaches was absolutely AWFUL. I love her record, but her stage showed STANK to high heaven. The other bands were largely forgettable (and there were far too many acts to begin with) and everyone had to wait 5 hours before Fischer-Spooner FINALLY came on, and it looks to me like success has already gone to their heads. Their show was so-so, nice gowns but sloppy and self-indulgent otherwise. Oh well.

The November edition of CLICK + DRAG, FREAKS FOR FREEDOM, is a
night of fun, glitter and self-expression, as this much-loved
futurist monthly so often is. This particular edition, though,
celebrates a right that we have taken for granted for a long time
- the right to self-express through dress and lifestyle on
evenings like this, and it is also a fundraiser for the
courageous women of R.A.W.A., the Revolutionary Association of
the Women of Afghanistan.

Producer ROB ROTH explains "I was horrified by a documentary I
saw where the Afghan women had to hide in a secret location just
to put on makeup and do their hair. I don't know why that
affected me so much - considering all the other awful footage of
executions and torture of women and homosexuals - but the fact
that these people cant even put on lipstick for fear of being
killed was devastating." And so the idea for this night was born.

The night will feature performances including MARLA BELT applying
makeup as go-go, a female duo called AVENUE D performing booty-
inspired rap, THE RADICAL FAERIES spirited go-go, painted
Priestess JOEY ARIAS, and other acts still being shaped including
an AFGHANI LIBERATION STRIPTEASE. DJs LOAD REZENHAND and SAMMY JO
will spin "jackin'dark-core- intergalactic-elektro-freqbeats" for
this most special edition, and ROB ROTH will turn out the
visuals.

All door profits will be donated directly to RAWA. Larger
donations gratefully accepted. The hastily formed host committee
for this event includes THE RADICAL FAERIES, Click co-producer
KITTY BOOTS and Editrix CHI CHI VALENTI, JUSTIN BOND, LILY OF THE
VALLEY, *BOB*, and THEO.

Strict Dress Code: Boas, lashes, glitter, beads, cyberslut,
fetish, gothic, post-apocolyptic, sexy robot, glam nerd, leather,
vinyl, rubber, genderhacking, imaginative head-to-toe black or

Really loved Click and Drag last night except it seemed that I only knew the family and no one else. I must be getting old..EVERYONE looked about 12 yrs old. And Rob roth is always cute in a dress.

But wasn't that Messy Bonnie Raitt dancing on the gogo box in between sets of the real dancers?

And what happened to Flawless and Brandon and Darla..they never made it.
Flawless Mother Sabrina, along with Brandon Olson, Darla Diamond and yours truly, were all at Spa. The evening started off Messy - - I was supposed to bump over to Barracuda to do Star Search but spent too much time getting my look together and by the time I left my apartment it was after 1:15 a.m., too late to be in Cashetta's show. So I used the time to my advantage by scooting over to Ultra at Spa instead to spread the word, the fliers, the love and the gospel about PTM tonight. Brandon Olson, who was there as part of the Artist's Ball that occurred earlier in the evening, was riding a joyous wave of cocktails into the dawn. Poor Sabrina was a bit crestfallen because she misplaced her purse that had her keys, money and all her identification in the cab, which is probably why she missed Click. I bought her a Poland Spring and we bonded. Darla flew through at one point, and we chatted for a bit but then I didn't see her again. Otherwise I kicked back with Richie Rich, Amanda and Sophia, Kenny Kenny and Lavinia Co-op, who looked absolutely smashing. She'd taken one of her 1920s Erte-letter inspired gowns she's been working of late and topped it with white 80s Missing Persons hair, SO glamorous.

Sorry I missed Click ... how was Avenue D?? I know Debbie, one of the girls in it but I haven't seen them perform yet.
Thanks to last night's Click + Drag and all the fabulous freaks who gave what they could, I am happy to say that we raised $1,500 for R.A.W.A!! Special thanks to Nancy Agresta for her generosity. Also I was reminded what a true showman/woman Joey Aris is. He could make a room of 2 seem like 200! Showy Arias indeed! Bush should send him to Afghanistan to bring the peace!

Last night reminded me that a little bit of makeup and glitter can bring a lot of joy! All the Radical Faeries know a thing or 2 about it; they make the party go all night! Kitty and I have decided to send a package of 100 tubes of Channel red lipstick addressed to the taliban in Afghanistan. I think they should learn the power of a painted lip!

Thanks also go out to Dirty Martini, a true living goddess! And Avenue D, such silly girls! And Chi Chi for her magic.

Oh Lex, sorry you couldn't be there, personally I would rather eat glass then ever set foot in that place again, but I understand about promotion. Hope Flawless gets her purse back.

Until "Plushies"...., paint your face and keep the peace!

xx

Rob we are sending the lipstick to the women of afganistan-not the men - you big drag queen - terence sent a envelope with a donation last nite saying "for lipstick for the afganistan ladies"!!!! for the men we should send butt plugs, ball gags and heels-daddy really knows how hard it is to work in heels-so imagine the taliban trying to fight a war in them- heels from payless though.

CLICK + DRAG PLUSHIES IS CANCELLED:
THE MOST DOOMED THEME IN CLUB HISTORY?

Regrettably we have been forced to cancel our Dec 13th edition of Click + Drag and put the event on hiatus. Because of a scheduling snafu on the part of the new management team at Fun, another party was scheduled on our date. Click of all parties can NOT share a space with anyone, so we are unable to bring back the PLUSHIES theme that so many of you requested. We were especially looking forward to this night because of the circumstances around its original cancellation on September 13. Because of the difficulties Kitty and I have faced in the days since September's cancellation (problems that are certainly affecting many other events and venues in Chinatown, sadly,) we have decided to put the party on hold for the time being.

Between Kitty's film costuming and fashion career and my art direction/photo/design career (and now constant travelling schedule as one of Deborah Harry's Fishsticks) it is impossible for us to continue producing Click at the level it deserves.

We have enjoyed our year long run at Fun. Some of our best work was done there (The Atomic Cafe, Beat on the Brat and Big in Japan were just 3 events that come to mind) but since the change in management, it has become much harder to produce. Click + Drag is a labor intensive event that takes up a huge amount of time, but becomes all the more difficult when the venue is not giving their support.

We are looking to take Click yet again into the future, re-defining and reinventing it with a new location and on the road to different cities (Japan anyone?). So keep in touch and check out the Click web site for details of the hiatus, more jpg's and video clips of past events and news of the future. Thank you all for the years of energy, love, kink and most of all DRAG that was brought in all its many facets by the most fearless and fabulous audience a club could ever hold! See you in 2002!
