I have to say I've never been bemused by the person herself, but by the societal machinations and predelictions that create such a type. The real person of course has never appeared anywhere, but the created scapegoat has proliferated like a fashionable virus in cultural consciousness. The person isn't a brand or product but more like a subculture unto themself with their own language and rules pertaining to an airless interior world where all sense and sensibility is turned inward.
The violence done to the person is part result of their hapless ways, part result of how violent the collective spectatorship becomes.
