For lovers of legendary NYC nightlife, the addition of a late-night SQUEEZEBOX edition (at 1 AM) with founder MICHAEL SCHMIDT and pioneering NY rock DJs send this very special night over the top. More club legends include MCs MISSTRESS FORMIKA and CHI CHI VALENTI,  DJs and hosts MICHAEL T. (MOTHERFUCKER), JOHNNY DYNELL (JACKIE 60), FRANKIE INGLESE (BEAVHER) and JUSTINE D + NICK MARC (TIS WAS). They all join friends, family, club staff, co-workers and fans to celebrate the life and legacy of the iconic rock promoter, club owner and music lover DON HILL at IRVING PLAZA on Thursday 12/15/11.

DON HILL, who died in late March, 2011 at age 66, was a monumental clubowner and scene supporter for three decades. He ran the infamous CAT CLUB in the 80's before opening his namesake club DON HILL'S at 511 Greenwich Street in 1993. A CELEBRATION OF THE LEGENDARY DON HILL is being presented by Hill's friend TRIGGER, owner of THE CONTINENTAL in the East Village, along with some of Don's family and other close friends. A portion of the proceeds benefit Don's favorite charity GUITARS FOR KIDS, which provide guitars and other instruments for underprivileged kids.

"Don was a mentor to us younger club owners by example without even realizing it. He was simply the classiest and sweetest guy in the business, period." says Trigger. As those who were involved in the New York music/club scene over the years know, Don Hill used his live-music venue as a platform for the best up-and coming and well established rock acts in New York City. Through the years, the venue became home to many more types of music and events, including the uber-important drag rock fest SQUEEZEBOX in the 1990's and JACKIE FACTORY productions including NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES (2001-3) and THE HOOKER'S BALL (2001). For lovers of past, present and future NYC club performance and rock, this night is a MUST!

Tickets available on Ticketmaster or Irving Plaza box office.
